3 in one day. My fix today at home recovering from surgery yesterday. Sept 3rd heading back to Salvation Army for more thrift find. Still need a few more pants, jeans and skirts for fall/ winter
Wow I just had a revelation during this video... You know how some plus size or midsize ladies claim they can never find good things at the thrift in their size? I realized it's all about knowing yourself and knowing your body, to the point you pretty much don't even have to try it on. You have to look at the piece and take it for what it is, and then imagine what it could be... But sometimes we have to take a piece for what it is, and accept to ourselves that the gorgeous dress you want doesn't have stretch (or a good alteration strategy). I've bought clothes literally from size xs all the way to 2x And it's all in what I want the garment to do... Do I want it to cover me, drape me, shape me, reveal me, hang on me super oversized etc.... I think people who are naturally creative and find beauty in the simple things and appreciate the small things and notice the "uncool" things that you can put on and make the doubters ask where you got your outfit from. These are the people who don't give up on people because one man's trash is another's treasure.. these are the ones who don't walk past someone because they're different; that's what makes them approach them... These are the ones who have the "eye".... We have a tainted love for thrifting because we appreciate so much that we accumulate too much... But we love what we do... And we enjoy being able to express our inner woman without saying a word. Our styles change like our emotions. It can be exhausting to find something specific but more pleasurable to have sweated for it... Then sometimes we just want it NOW...We are the people who will continue to do it long after it's no longer a trend... We smile with warm hearts when we find a piece that reminds us of a dear past loved one and squeal when we see something too cute not to grab for family and friends..... These are the people I imagine to be the TA community... And ladies I must add, if you ever want to talk business with me let me know!! I love u all...💕

Don’t sleep on Lula Roe. I wasn’t a fan until I thrifted a pair of leggings, and then a dress. The material is so soft and comfortable. The dresses are perfect “get the heck out the house” dresses. You just have to find a pleasing print.

It's all so dumb. The risk of dying is extremely low anyway, and if a person is in a high-risk group, they can stay home and order their groceries online and have the, delivered to their homes or pick them up in the parking lot at the store. The whole world is shutting down and following arbitrary, ever-changing rules for no reason.
