PILGRIMS STRANDED AT NAMUGONGO BASILICA WITH NO RETURN PLANS

Many pilgrims are stranded at the Uganda Martyrs Basilica Namugongo in Wakiso district, with no plans on how to get back home.
Some await transport, relying primarily on buses that ply upcountry routes.
This situation follows Martyrs Day celebrations held 3rd of June.
The rector Namugongo Martyrs Shrine Father Vincent Lubega, said that the church was yet to identify them genuinely stranded individuals,
