  • In this video, we will be looking at “Afòs” which means “so, so much, to such an extent” in Creole.
As usual, we’ll be playing three (3) games to ensure you really understand how words are combined to give new meaning in Lesser Antillean French-based Creole. Spend a few minutes with us as we share the Creole for nosy, joy, to injure, to be, etc. and help to promote the language. See how many words/phrases you know already and use. Finally, you will get an opportunity to learn how to use the words learnt in a bonus game. Please share your answer in the comments.

    Before us and after
Creole Expressions have and will capture
The Spirit of a People once captured
Carrying the torch of wisdom from those who came before us
Proverbs that spell not just words to rattle through the day
But to spill light on the pit that may be on the path before us
Or on the lives of all those we encounter through the day
Through the day or the night
All that's good or bad is a lesson for life
The language we call Creole teaches life
