The uBITX is a great QRP rig but it desperately needs an AGC. Even operating digital modes like FT8 some is doing it wrong running 100 watts and a yagi causing WSJTx to overload.

I believe their was a kit some time ago , and it was placed in the same area using a series's of coils mounted on a separate board and the soldering was in the same area like the one shown here
As it is very interesting
. I am making mine ubitx V 6 into Frankenstein home base just for fun. Its main use is for qrp most of the time however, it will have a little after burner on it but that is not why I am doing this. I like old dials and l band atns, all mounted in a full tack mount case, just to be different, that's not to say I want build coils for filters as each challenge comes a long.
I was wondering about the S meter connection because the uBITX v6 schematic shows Raduino pin A7 to be GND
I may have missed the answer elsewhere, but is there a functional difference using through-hole components instead of SMD components?
If through hole parts work, it would be very simple and inexpensive to get a PCB from those online companies that make custom PCBs based on your Gerber file.
You could do that
Would this work on a version 3 or 4? Juddie WD8WV
Yes it will. Works on all versions.
@@BrokenSignal thanks!
Unfortunately, they no longer make the AGC board
I noticed this. I don't have the knowledge to make that myself
@@justawfulgamer7738 and the radio really needs it
I would watch for these to come back in stock
