departments and PLU work the same, you can edit the name and add a preset price if required. the department keys are direct access on the keyboard, whereas to sell (for example plu 100) you would type [1] [0] [0] [PLU]. to set up amount tendered and change, this is just standard, sell your item(s) then press subtotal, then type in the cash provided, and then press TL/NS and the change will be calulated.

Help! I have programmed the departments and left the price option "open" so that I can key it in. However, when I try to ring up a sale by entering a price and pressing one of the dept. keys, I get an error message...it tells me that I can't enter a price. It does this for every dept.
what is the actual error message? can i presume you might be pressing the decimal point, which you don't need to, so £5 is literally [5][00] / [5][0][0]

sounds like you havent actually created clerk 10 yet. perhaps you have said its clerk 10 for training but you need to go into PGM > SETTING > PERSONNEL and create clerk 10 first.

To add an additional clerk: [MODE] PGM MODE > SETTING > PERSONNEL Go to CLERKS Type a new clerk number, 10 Press [TL/NS] to create the new clerk if you get a 'non reset clerk message' you need to do this and then repeat above To clear the NON RESET CLERK message: [MODE] X1/Z1 > RESETTING > CLERK MENU

I want to condense the X1 and Z1 Reports to include ONLY the Department list and sales, and the Net Sales and the (New York State) straight 8% sales tax. I do NOT need the GRS TAX1 or anything else. How do I accomplish this. Thanks for any advice anyone can offer .....

unless they are flat batteries or in the wrong way around(Which sounds like they arent) then it must be some connection from the batteries to the internal motherboard. i wouldnt be able to recommend anything further to be honest

This was helpful in many ways but I’m wondering how to add a phone number. Do I have to remove some other part of the header or footer in order to add the phone number? Also when I’m typing two “n”s in a row it’s coming out “m”
yes if you have already used all 6 lines of text for the header/footer you would need to remove some other info to put the tel number on. 2 x N's making a M - you need to move a character to get to the second character you need to the N

@@andrewlati2275 restoring the main power supply is all you need to do. unless there was some kind of power surge that has caused damage to the register
its the same principle as departments, if you watch the video from around 6mins, it shows you how to do the departments - but rather than going into department you would go into PLU. similar settings and setup, you will also see a department number though
not on the 207 unfortunately. the 217 has a VAT shift function which is ideal for applying different vat for example eat in / eat out. however on the 207 its not possible.
a X or Z is a generated report since you the last time you ran the Z report. ie you could potentially run a Z report 3 times a day if wished (morning, lunch, evening) and each time you did a Z it would be the figures since the last report ran. if you just want to view/print the info without resetting the figures then within the x1/z1 screen run the READING report (X) rather than resetting
you need to factory reset the till and on the startup is the language selection. to factory reset (it will wipe all programming and data) remove batteries, unplug from mains power for 10 mins and then restore power
within the programming - there is setting for tax rates. you can set up 4 different rates. once done, you then assign the tax number to the department(s)
once the machine has been set up - the only way to change language is to do a master reset (this will wipe all programming and sales data). to do this, remove the 2 x AA batteries, unplug from mains power, leave 5 minutes and then restore power - it will then take you through the setup which includes setting language

Just type in a clerk number on the keypad followed by the CLK# button. ie if you want to sign in as clerk 1. you would simply type [1] [CLK#]
