- Suikoden II Extras Part 27: Here is the video how to recruit the squirrel squad in order. It took me over one hour to get them all. You have to be patient. ( I always record in window mode. I forgot to move the cursor out of the window.)

One of the things I've discovered about the Squirrel hunt that I've never seen anyone mention is, if you watch Riou's sprite, he'll actually do a little stutter-step when the sqirrel joins the party. The sprite pauses for only about 1/2 a second, but it's visible if you pay attention.
But yeah, the orange squirrel always takes me the longest to recruit.
I believe there is a spot in map and if you step on it (with mukumuku in party) the squirell will join party, not by walking around. Because there is a delay about 0.3 second or 1 frame when you get it.
Well no wonder I couldn't find Mokumoku! Every guide said "the clearing south of Forest Village"' I'm thinking they mean the little area directly under the village when they actually meant completely different area. This was a big help, thanks
@headgirls the recruiting followers parts are included to my gameplay videos. The difference is that in gameplay videos, some followers are been recruited automatically, while the story is processing. The recruiting followers parts shows characters, who has not to be recruited to get the story to continue. I hope you understand what I mean, my english isn't that good. The extra parts comes in handy, when they are side quests, like clive quest, mc dohl quest, cooking events or different endings.
easy... when u first go to kyaro... go to the large tree behind the house...(not the back of your house where nanami is praying) examine it a few times...
ok i get it now i read a thread...if you want to recruit them fast you should enter a city back and forth then walk on the world map where the squirrel are located then it would be faster...i tried it for 3 hours of walking on the world map without entering a city nothing happen but when i read that thread and go back and forth to a city in 1 minute i recruited mekumeku..now i'm still working on mokumoku..
Isn't there something about the game will freeze for a half second when the squirrel joins your party? Happens while traveling the road, and you normally only know the squirrel is with you when you enter battle.
Their unite be like.. what the fuck? Sudden death?!

Tnx for the Video, I like the way I recruit the Squirrels even though Mukumuku can be recruited on Kyaro Town. Mukumuku and his Squad are cool! just like McDohl can be recruited on Suikoden 2
And yeah, The File of Suikoden 2 will became Mukumuku not the Rune.
@jackkyjazz well actually you hav to walk around the area too coz i tried leave the character there for about one and a half hours but nothing happen. The squirrel didn't join when battle iminent but will join u the time u walking around.
@BabyFlausch yes it really takes a long time to recruit them all, I recorded nearly 2 hours till I got them all. I think it depends on luck whether they join you fast or not.
Might seem dumb, but thanks for the video. I read where to find them from an FAQ, but wasn't sure if I had the areas exactly right(as I wasn't getting any squirrels :P )
mokumoku... the only character i never had on the five suikodens. O_o ( It don't like me! lol but i never kill anyone in my real life so why... WHY? Just kiddin' ;) ) Maybe i should retry this game for a 14th times ^^ Thx for the video.
If you want to get a perfect game, you have to do it...I had to do this two times, since I completed Suiko 2 two times with both endings. Well, It was Hell.
what the different between ur extras part and recruiting followers and the gameplay part?and may i ask did u get all 108char?and the side quests and story?im thinking of dwnloading it just for the memory.:)
Takes me today about 1 hour to get them all. The pink one was so...grrr!

@ShadowRowin Nah, it will not work. Look closely at the video, ryu seem to stop just a little bit during his walk and this is then, the quirrel join.
i've got greencape squirrel by just leave the character around the path to Matilda. it surprised me a lot coz i'm trying to do exactly according to this video include change position at 2:15 and i found that he already there. strange, isn't it?

Stupid Green Pink Yellow and all of the squirrels standing in the way of my ending. can you get them without the red one??

how do u even get mukumuku (red cape) in the first place.. ? I cant even get him.. and I just need him to complete my 108.. sigh
ok ok im back i got mokumoku for about 1 minute too going back and forth to the city it's kinda far but it's worth it i got mokumoku for 1-2 minute..
I missed my chance to get the first squirrel. Where do I run around to get him now that I'm near the end of the game?
u can't get him again if u're near the end of the game. if u miss him in kyaro, u still can get him in greenhill forest during liberation.
these squirrels are weak and some are really hard to get, so thanks for uploading but i think i dont have the need to recruit them again this time
i wish they would put this on psn like they did with the original an also create suikoden 6
this squirrel shit is fuckin hard...fucking depressing...you need patience to catch them all....
You recruited all with the others in party? some walktrhough say u must only have Mukumuku in party :/
