Amazes me this was a longtime ago, I flew pigeons back in early to middle 90s, I started like a lot of starters, an Allotment a loft and strays plus gift pigeons, people won't give you good pigeons😂lesson 1, any way I had a team of 27 pigeons in my loft, for a start I couldn't afford medications and all the other stuff, I trained my 27 pigeons hard before racing, I took care of them and gave them a comfortable place to live, the second year of owning pigeons I started to race them, I was down to 8 birds, they were paired up, obviously 4 pairs, they were fit as fxxk, I had nowt else to do, feed them train them, I had running dogs all my life and treat the pigeons the same, racing started and finished, we had 2 club firsts and can't remember positions we were 3rd top flyer in the club, the young birds came along and I cleaned up, we'd and sat club, doing nothing but NOT MAKING THEM HUNGRY " DON'T FLY TO Hunger" keep them hungry they trap quicker, bollocks, they will trap cos they love being home, I went from well done son, to being called a cheat, my birds done that well, no medication food in front of them all the time slight adjustments come race day, people in the UK insist through paranoia medicate the birds on a weekly basis, you are putting poison into the bird on a weekly basis, no wounder a newbie with an IQ larger than a fish cake, kicked you're arse, NOT because I was cheating, once I kicked both clubs arsed I packed in, I used to think women were bitches till I flew pigeons 🤣🤣

@@RacingPigeonGroup you know it's so simple to get a bird fit why would you want to spoil it by putting poison into it, what did they give carrier pigeons during the war a bit of maze or what ever they had, they flew 300 mile regularly, granted they didn't sprint or race, but that's all you have to teach them, race home, home has to be loved by the bird, home some times has to have extra attraction like a family, forgot to mention I topped the fed with a hen racing home to eggs, my grandson has cerebral paulsy, he is hell bent on lifting a trophy, like the football players, I might get a few birds again, see what I can winkle out of them, join the local club and win him a trophy, I wounder if they call him a cheat 🤣🤣

The bird wants to be home if you treat it right, as staf explains it doesn't have to be mint, that's another miss conception In the UK, disinfectant ets etc, don't create a home YOU want to live in 😂😂
