@@LadyArachnea That has maybe to do with the fact that she was at Lycée in Vienna so she is really familiar with French language and culture and therefore competitive in this aspect. The lyrics is not that strong, but the complete package is especially as it is not overcomplex. And the general status of music in Austria is still high which is not a disadvantage here.

@@seren4740 Totally agree. Jurys make sometimes huge mistakes. But sometimes, televoters make big mistakes too. That's Eurovision. We can't always find rational reasons for curious results.

Lots of Austrians speak French, amazing about mainland Europe that so many people are bilingual, then in the UK they don’t bother to teach children languages properly 😂
@@oliviasteven1796 In Austria you are learning German and English either way, but in some school-types you have to choose a third language to learn, which is mostly French, Spanish, Italian or Latin, but I do think there are also dome more. But in each case, you are learning English in school.

I only recently got into Eurovision in 2018 - I'm in the US - and have been looking at past participants. I was very surprised this song didn't do that well with the jurors but glad Zoe was liked by the public and the televote. Such a cute song and singer!

One of the best Eurovision songs I've heard in years IMHO
Just because it's cute doesn't mean it wins anyway. But the jury voting was terrible when they put her 24/26 place. The televoters has saved her put her 8/26. The final result still hurt me that Zoë not in the top 10. Good job Austria for letting her represented your homeland 🇦🇹🇦🇹🇦🇹
