- OBI-WAN and I rode out to the historic China Dam, North of Lake Pleasant in Arizona on the Mighty Suzuki DR650's for Cheeseburgers at the Wild Horse and a great ride on a 70-degree December day, exploring Arizona's past treasures.

Thank you, Dane, OBI-WAN picked out the Dam place! 😳🤣 I had never been in that area before, but I would like to go back to ride and camp overnight before the weather gets hot again. Yes, just wishing Rob the best during his recovery, we thought it would be nice. A different kind of ending, to a great day of riding.

Thank you, OBI-WAN, most people only watch the first minute of my videos, 🤣so I wanted to lead with the well wishes to Rob that we did. Thank you for letting me tag along on one of your great adventures, I always enjoy the company. The lower foot pegs help a lot for standing on the bike. The DR650's are a great do all bike.

Good thing that OBI had that top tier gps. I used to have one just like it when I drove a truck. Works great most of the time. 😁

Hard to beat the DR650 for a run what you’ve brung dual sport. I would have been a bit more hesitant with a KLR on the down hill. It was a great day. Thank you Calvin.

Thank you, OBI-WAN is a smooth rider and as a person everything and more that you see on his videos. I’m looking forward to more rides, it’s my treat next time for cheese burgers 🍔. It’s cool having the same ride but from different riders and perspectives.
Such a great ride. The landscape is both hostile and beutiful at the same time for sure. Getting off the bikes and taking us for a walk was awesome.

Thank you, Greg I lived in Oregon for 4 years, in the forest of Flagstaff 3 years but the vast beauty of the desert never leaves your soul. I rode the KLR through Death Valley last year and it was another world. I hope to take the Vstrom back this year to DV and camp overnight. Thake care.

Rob, you're not whining at all, you took a heck of a tumble brother. You are in our thoughts and prayers for a complete and speedy recovery. Riding with OBI-WAN is a Hoot! He's a good rider and a great guy, that made for an enjoyable day on and off the bikes. He is the real deal. Keep us posted, glad to hear you are on the mend.
Now this absolutely made my day! I cannot express how great it was to see you two out in the desert together attacking China - Dam! Good onya with the Well wishes to Rob at the beginning. You guys were moving pretty good out there on those dirt roads. Also, the ending was perfect with the broken turn signal "Break Your Own Adventures" LOL! Can relate to that one for sure! Thanks for this video!

Happy New Year DOC650, I'm glad that you enjoyed the video, OBI-WAN is a good rider, and a good guy it was a fun day, great to be able to hook up for "burgers and bikes", a silly tip over on the DR when the cold engine quit at the worst possible time and broke the signal but that was all, I already had matching DRZ400 rear signals in the garage to match the fronts, now I'm forced to install them. We thought it would be nice to do a Hallmark get well for one of the nicest guys out there. Take care DOC.

I'd say go to his page & click on "POSTS" - If they are still up, that will tell you the story. There should be a couple of them.
The desert was awesome that day with just a light dust. the next day it rained which would have been bitchen! Nothing like the traction and the smells of the desert after a light rain. The DR650's are a great machine.
