the wonderful thing about woodkid as an artist and a person, is that he wants you to feel like the hero of a story when listening to his music. He wants you to feel this way, and I think that's just god damn swell.

I love it I love it sooo much. It resonates with me so much and I can connect to it. My family and I had to leave our country due to political issues and I literally had "a one way ticket for another life." Every word of this song explains a part of my life. I love you so much Woodkid you are literally the best artist that I stumbled upon in 2013. Oh and my dad told me he's proud of me yesterday and when you said the line I was just blown away.

There are several reasons why WOODKID's songs are so well done. His masterful use of acoustic instruments, his well defined tone and pace for each one, and how he sings. His voice is already very smooth and nice to listen to on its own, but the way he unexpectedly emphasizes certain syllables or words really adds a bit of uniqueness to the overall song.

It goes without saying that the music is magnificent, but I would like to take a moment and appreciate the visuals that Woodkid curates for his music, ranging from a visual-heavy comp like Goliath, to this simple yet effective conceptual masterpiece.

It's crazy how this dude just created one of the most epic album of 21st century (my opinion as professional producer/musician) and just basically fade away. The Golden Age album should be explained in every music school, the composition, the sound design, the mix & master, everything is Hollywood level and it was his first album, just mind-blowing. I hope he return asap with a second album because WOODKID deserves hands down to play at O2 Arena or MSG.

Today I discovered how hard life is, the dude deserves way more views, it's clear that he's done alot of work to make this masterpiece.
I imagine this song playing over my novel, specifically the part after Rosemary's sister goes missing, and she has to face the realization that she has failed protecting her. Her sudden ground into the real world, which suddenly breaks her, and she faces the reality her sister is really gone, and the final decision to try and search for her.

Today I'm about to finish high school. And soon I'm going to college in another city. My dad is gone in another country to make money for me and my family since I was a kid. He said so many times that he is proud of me because I'm becoming slowly a man. This song makes me feel so bad because my dad is about to finally come home and it's time for me to go. Woodkid will make me feel so much better in the next few years.

Woodkid capture the right feeling of all the people who goes to the "other side"(of the rivera) looking for a better life.
Just the way he sings and how the vocals resonate so perfectly with the almost somber melody just makes you imagine the cinematic opening to one of the most beautifully tear inducing scenes to a movie that was so mind blowingly beautiful visually backed up with a story line equally as compelling and gorgeous.... This song combined with a movie which would go down in history among the greatest in cinema history would be hands down too emotionally complex and amazing to put into words!!

At some parts this song makes me feel like I’m floating through the ocean with the waves crashing onto me like I’m drowning. I feel peaceful yet uncertain. But it also feels beautiful and serene like im swimming under the crashing waves and seeing how beautiful it is under. I feel broken but also content. I wish I could explain it better! Whenever I listen to this song I miss home. This song has perfectly described my life, where I've traveled 7427 km with a one-way air ticket to somewhere far away from my homeland to strive for my dreams and find a new life. I've been workin' so hard on my own but when my family and friends' face popped up in my mind I just can't stop myself from tearing.
