Every year I view the video offerings on You tube of this parade. And this year, and the video you see here... is by far the best video production of them all. And I am posting this in May of 2022. CZcams ...please...never remove this video.
Soviet-era marches just looks way better in any aspect. Dead serious, better marching music, few units wearing berets (yeah, they look better with peaked caps), and of course that iconic great coat (though understandable since Victory Day parade is always celebrated without great coats, I just preferred October Revolution parade).

Sorry about your grandmother. My grandmother neither did have a great time, while the red army was advancing. She lived in East-Prussia. Her Mother whitnessed the russian invasion in 1914. Dont tell me anything about who did bad things first. War favours the bad people. Always did. I was talking about the ones, who kept their humanity in this hell and fought bravely to defend their country. Which the russians did, but also most of the german soldiers believed and was told to do so. Whatever. The russians were all god, the germans all bad. Thats your opinion. Ok. Russia won the war. So arguing makes no sense. P.S. Remember, it was thousands of belarussians, ukrainians and baltics, which made the killing of jews just possible. Even after the germans were long gone, pogroms were present.

It almost worked …Russian kicked Turks all the way to Constantinople…just to see Brits, French and Germans threatening war to stop Christians liberating Christians. Could have Hagia Sophia back for Christendom. Oh well...

Other parades (esp last year) are longer only for special anniversaries (every 5th and 10th year)
