Repeating "This is a test" is such a good trigger for some reason. This is a succesful test.
I’m sure you’re familiar with it, but he has a video called ASMR this is a test where he commonly repeats this phrase :)

Raffy, the new 3Dio mics are wonderful. I think a lot of people in the comments agree that the mid-high gains are a little high.
A lot of the great, tingly sounds are in this mid to high range and you don't want to cut them out entirely. However, some specific sounds, such as "S-sounding words" can be sharp and overwhelming.
Instead of simply reducing mids and highs, consider looking into some post-processing options like dynamic compression and notch filtering. This way, you can keep more of the nice higher frequency sounds while removing some of the specific and overwhelming sounds. Lastly, a frequency spectrum analyzer is another great tool to use to find these specific bands/frequencies you want to dampen. Just about every audio processing program has these simple tools and they are very useful once you get to know how to use them.

Any De-Essing plug-in should also do the trick! 5-9khz region is usually problematic, especially with the S and Ts. Hope that helps!

The new mic is actually phenomenal quality. I like the sounds a little more bass heavy personally, but it's very clear and fresh sounding. Very sensitive though, so might need to be a wee bit more careful things like the zippers and certain lids, because the snapping or popping noises can get really crazy loud depending on distance. The case still makes good sounds.
S sounds are a bit sharp when received through the new mic. Overall, it is very clear sounding though. Pros and cons.
Yeah he has "bass roll off" turned on which is basically a high pass filter cutting out all the low end. If he switches it to 'flat' then we'll hear some more lows
i’d also turn off the bass roll-off on this mic. low frequencies sounds very pleasant on asmr for me
I concur! the quality was superb 👌 but yeah distance is going to play a huge role in fluidity of volume. if that is the USB 3Dio I would recommend running your audio through a sophisticated digital compressor. If it's the XLR version, you can find all kinds of little compressors all with adjustable settings. otherwise you can always eq some of the higher, more, frightening audio frequencies down a bit.

Yea I think this mic has the treble too high. Makes for some sharp and jarring sounds, which stinks, because I know Raffy is performing great, but the mic is undermining the performance with the excessive treble
I can see how these mics can be good for role plays like a haircut,I feel like the Yeti will always be the best for whispers but these pick up sounds so well
agree 100%, blue yeti are better for whispering, but this 3dio sounds very good for the other things. it doesnt sound that good on whispering because its a bit harsh on mid-hi frequencies
I think it depends on settings/mixer tbh. For example, fastasmr whispering sounds amazing on this mic (and all of her mics tbh because of her settings and mixer)

I love the new mic, but tbh i'm not sure if i like the audio settings. The high frequencies like the s sounds seem to be a little bit too harsh, so i guess you might want to lower them and boost the lower frequencies.
But either than that, i would LOVE to see you do more videos with this new mic!!
I have to say, this is the BEST asmr I have ever listened to. I have used this to fall asleep so many times since you posted it. I have sleep paralysis, so sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night after I have an "episode" of the paralysis. I have used this video to help me go back to sleep everytime. Keep up the amazing work!

I think this mic sounds really good, but you might want to drop the highs a bit more in editing the sound. It’ll help take the edge off which will make it sound really nice. You also might want to lower the gain a bit but that one is more a personal preference. Great video as always!
I can honestly listen to a whole video of Raffy sponsorships too since his whispers are so good.

A lot of the "S" sounds in the whispering seem to come off quite loud, but everything else sounds great

I love the 3Dio and I've always loved it ! Hearing your sounds captured by it just feels amazing !
However, I've been used to some "low pitched" kind of "bassy sounds" with you and the 3Dio captures more "high pitched sounds" which are not my all times favorite. But regardless this tiny detail, the mic is wonderful (as it's always been) and you use it perfectly!
