    I recommend using foil tape to stop the light bleeding through. I believe it's more effective than a coat of silver enamel. It's difficult to see the bleeding when the body's illuminated from the outside.

    Superb kit 10/10, Alberto . Got mine last month and two transmission braces for my LB and mates son's MP, and braces work superb, but better than that is the lighting kit, two coats of primer, six of yellow, drop of lacquer, glued in with black hot glue, zero light bleed, zero. The side lights are perfect. Brake lights so crisp This kit has taken my LB to the next level, would definitely get another set if and when i replace the body. I'm just glad you don't do a kit like this for the Clod,....otherwise,... lol (will be placing a Clod order later this year with yourself or early next year, once i know where i'm going with my scale Clod/retro Monster build) Cheers and best wishes Fu75.

      The big bear is awesome. I may want to get one one day. As for the light kit, it is the one used in episode 39. You need to look on ebay for them. However, I made a second harness for the side markers like I describe in episode 33.

    Hi, I have now received my light bucket kit from Shapeways and wanted to know that after I have painted the kit would Tamiya Extra Thin Cement be Ok for sticking everything in place? Wicked kit and brilliant vids : ¬ )

    • @AMPROEngineering
      @AMPROEngineering  Před 3 lety +1

      Hmmmm, I would think not. The reason is usually cement lightly melts the mating surfaces to get a great bond. Since the prints are not the same material, I dont think it will work. I would use a small dab of gel superglue on the inside of the body to hold them in place.

      @AMPROEngineering  Před 6 lety

      Hey David, I am glad you liked it! I really am a fan of lights in general. The suspension is on SW right now and has been revised for better durability. Still, it cannot be used for bashing and with anything hotter than the stock silver can motor.

    Have my kit now and I am super impressed. I did have a quick question though. In the video you mention using black after the silver but it wasnt shown which areas you do that in that video. Do paint a dark black over all the silver paint or do you leave it silver?

    • @AMPROEngineering
      @AMPROEngineering  Před 6 lety +1

      Oh sorry, on the backing of the light units I usually pain them the color of the light (red for tail lamp, amber for markers) and then back that up with silver which is opaque and then black to prevent any light bleed. Really the black isnt needed but it helps. Hope that clears it up!
