Retaliator/Crossfire Integration (abandoned project) - Overview

- This wasn't exactly a "passion" build, but more of a practice in "can it be done?". While it turned out fairly well, the project never really "grabbed me", and I never felt the desire to finish it.
Maybe someday...
It pretty much speaks for itself: a Retaliator with the front of a ZS Crossfire Bow, and Alpha Trooper muzzle and priming bits added. the Bungee from the bow arms acts as a priming slide return, and the stock has been cleanly extended.
What do you guys think? Should I finish this one, leave it on the shelf, or unload it on somebody?..

I love how chill the background music makes your videos. They don't take away anything and compliment the video.
I love this build, specifically the foregrip at the front of the retaliator under the crossfire. It looks like it blends really well and would be comfortable too. The way you also continued the top tactical rail really joins the blasters together, with the vertical piece on the handle putting a perfect stop to the rail. Great work man, it's a beauty.
The front of the crossfire bow ingrates pretty nicely asthetic wise into a lot of different blasters. Stryfire Bows will always be one of my favorite combos.
I love the front grip. Really great idea.
I love the little alphatrooper slingmount
Looks good. That AT pump/sight is clever.
Mister Nathan's abandon projects look better than the integrations I can dream up.
If you want to sell this, and postage to the UK is not too crazy, I'd be interested in buying this and completing the paint job and maybe upgrade the internals.
This is an amazing blaster. You may not agree, but I think you should finish it.
After a fair bit of consideration, I think I'm going to sell this one. Stay tuned for more info, on how I decide to go about it...
Aww man! I think it is really cool! I was gonna suggest doing Walcom's magazine mod where you cut out the corner of the magazine slide so that the breach won't close over it. That would make it a little easier to switch magazines. :-(
Mister Nathan You should finish it a little bit more than sell it
Ha, I'm watching this in January 2019. And wanted to buy the piece but I guess I'm a bit late to the table. I should really start checking the dates on videos...
If I had it I would name it Arctic Dawn
The music is a nice touch!
I would love to add this to my retail at or collection! the retailator is the best springer primary
That looks amazing!
BEAUTIFUL
the small details... AWESOME ^^
man this is just an amazing job !
its a shame you abandoned this project, its a beautiful build
You could use Walcom's mag modification to help with reloading
Perfect solution. That would look super classy.
But remember, walcom didn't invent it.
It’s useful and good
I have the same issue of not being able to hang it anywhere with my stryfe/crossfire. It looks cool, there's just no way to display it
IMO it would look like a cool SI-FI rifle if you removed the bow arms from this
but this looks nice too
the Darkhunter bow
Dang It, There goes my original Idea.. great integration though! I absolutely love it!!!!!
Huuuuurrrgh I want it.
WalcomS7 isn't that Unanimous?
WalcomS7 Walcom dont you want all of his mods though?
Lol I don't
Me too Walcom, it is amazing compared to anything i could do.
reloading could be helped by adding a pin lock styled thing.
I asked you about this earlier in the year
I want it or at least give a mod video of how you did it FINISH THE DAMN AWESOME INTEGRATION
what about a small air tank to fire the darts in the crossfire part
I know you probably won't finish this, but taking the time to add a brass breech would resolve the issue of reloading mags. Certain breeches require you NOT to prime the blaster to put a mag in. Love your stuff buddy
would you ever sell you strayven or do a strayven commission because im in love with your strayven with the great integration and the amazing foregrip.
KING NATHAN
nice
I think this is interesting, not in the way of I like the xfire bow arms. But more in the way of a awesome Retaliator bolt return mod (if that makes any sense) very well done sir. So what did you end up doing with it?
TRASHEDTEG this one was sold, which supplied money for the Cam blaster which was featured in my latest vid.
you mentioned that it was kinda hard to reload mags because the bow arms would pull the slide forward but... didn't walcoms7 make a mod video about a mechanism that would prevent you from pulling the slide forward when out of darts (might make it worth more if that is a deal breaker from some people)
I wanna call it the scorpian
Would you please post a guide for this.
Nathan's Bow
That's the name
What paints do you use? Everything you paint looks so nice, and I'm struggling quite a bit with painting at the moment.
Carius Honestly, I just use Duplicolor vinyl/fabric paint. It's admittedly not the best thing to use, and I wouldn't recommend it to everybody, but I like what it has to offer. It goes on smooth, doesn't run or sag, dries ridiculously quick, is super durable, and maintains the plastic-like sheen and feel.
colors are limited, though.
I default to vinyl dye as well and I love it, but I had no idea they had such a nice blue. I've only come across that grey-ish dark blue they make. Going to order me some of that. Thanks!
Carius Interestingly enough, I've used this same color a couple times (this, my Strayven, my "Marauder" RS/Rayven, as well as other things), and the color has turned out slightly different each time. The RS/Rayven is almost an "elite" blue, while the Strayven turned almost purple. Not sure if it's a difference in batches, or if the paint wasn't shaken enough on some applications. just a heads-up.
Called it Retalifire
the retalifire
maybe this should be named the Double Crosser.
Name it the retalifire
Do you take commisions
would you ever consider commissions? just wondering
Queazyplane Gaming
I'm entertaining the idea, but I have a handful of personal projects I'd like to get out of the way, first, before I make any promises.
I know this a late comment and you will probably never see it but it is worth trying so I am thinking about doing this do have an tips or ideas
can you make a pump action version without the bow arms?
IT'S TOO COOL TO DIE
I think it's really cool, but I don't think it's quite... Ingenious enough for you. I think you should put your time into some more intensive and interesting creations rather than continuing this one. At least that's my stance on it.
Name it Crossitor
pump action is kinda overrated. I dig top slides
Boom tendo
ayy it's boomtendo, what are the odds?
