    Revell looks a bit glossier, but imo Alclad is unbeatable. I find good results spraying it over a not totally dried gloss black base, like about an hour after laying the base.

    The second looks better on the spaceship than the chrome, and the B17 looks great.
    Having tried a number of "silvery" paints over the years to reproduce bare metal - including bare metal foil, I've settled on plastic safe "chrome" automotive paint. It's like $8 USD for a normal size can, and basing it with colors other than black give a nice start towards a weathered chrome / stainless steel finish.

    in this video it looks like alcalad gives the most realistic result. is it possible to make different shades of alminium on different plane panels with alcalad?
