My pleasure. Do you do it differently?

@@thatdadguy1974 I do it the same except I use a stamp drying book to dry the stamps.

Always nice tips to remember, even if it seems very obvious. Thank you for the tutorial! :)

Great video, Rob, especially for those who are new to the hobby.
I got some citrus cleaner here from a hardware shop and it worked on the self-adhesives I used it on - even the Australian ones with the microcuts. I found that the Australian ones still had quite a bit of sticky adhesive on the back which would have been difficult to remove due to the microcuts (the stamps would fall apart). For such difficult stamps, some people recommend a bit of talcum powder, though there are those who would be very unhappy with that as it would be seen of contaminating the stamps.

Thanks for the video, Rob. I am personally keen to see as many variations of how to soak stamps off paper as possible to tweak how I do it myself. Especially taking off self-adhesive stamps is a bit of a head ache! Stamps from some countries (e.g. Canada I think), one can soak the self-adhesive stamps off with water, but for other countries' self-adhesives it does not work, e.g. those of the USA I think. Anyway, really thanks for showing us your way of soaking stamps. I enjoyed to see it, and I think the corrugated card works perfectly!

Thank you. I think most people do it the same with minor variations or different products for the adhesive stamps.

How well does the Goo Gone work for you?

It works pretty well but I prefer the spray of pure citrus as i feel like I am not wasting as much

I have yet to soak any of mine just because I haven’t felt the need to, but when I first became interested in stamps the idea of soaking freaked me out lol; like it makes sense for them to be designed to be waterproof/weather-proof, but there’s that little voice worried it’ll ruin the stamps regardless 😅
I’m curious-does it not ever smear the cancellation ink on the stamp?
