Got a first impression when listening to this song first time: a shivering, yet filled with an undying passion. It came around the time I was a high school kid. It perfectly fits well with the closing line of battle city arc (from Yugi vs Kaiba) and confrontation with Dartz upon their mission to save both Duel Monsters and real world.
this song really makes you feel that DUELING in General is an activity of making a WARRIOR out of you for your life, putting so much effort in the decks you like, while having FUN, LEARNING and METTING other people this way... instead of the lame not quite realistic idea of using overpriced pieces of paper just to complain format after format. This is why i love this theme so much though xD

Takes me back when I was a kid and watched every damn time the opening came on, besides the season with this opening was amazing. Damn I loved this anime so much. I remember downloading this song on my old samsung flip phone and listened that on the way to school.
Am I the only one who likes the Waking the Dragons arc? It might have been filler, but I enjoyed it for its dark feel and when Yami took a dark turn in his character. Also for the puzzleshipping and prideshipping feels. Shush!

I think it's interesting to see the differencs in the ops. Though my favorite would be the german one since I grew up with it (nostalgia is a strong power). They used your move in season 1 and a self made in the later seasons. I wonder if other countries made their versions too
