I have a degree in biology, a medical school degree, and have completed two residencies while getting board certified in two different specialties. My medical license was restricted in 2013 for doing what the medical board encouraged many of us to do. I did not violate any laws. I did not violate any requirements. I did not cross any patient physician boundaries. I have and had no personal addiction/abuse issues. I have never been arrested in my entire life. Because of this restriction, no one will hire me as a physician under any circumstances, not even simply reviewing medical charts for insurance companies. I have been fully compliant with the medical board, have fulfilled all the terms, have met all the conditions, have endured an additional 5 years of the minimum sentence the medical board imposed upon me, and yet the medical board still refuses to unrestrict my medical license. I am very disillusioned about all of it since 14 years of education, training, and certification was made useless to earn a living by the stroke of pen. What viable options do I have?

So the resources for veterans you speak of who can help,,,who or what are they? Being a veteran and exploring this field , you get bombarded by businesses, of what seems to be people just trying to make money. I have a veteran service officer for my county, should I talk to him? I'm in California as well, I've been looking quite a bit myself for proper resources but definitely overwhelming at times. Appreciate and definitely respect any ideas you have for sure! Yes,., county veterans service office is a good place but don't stop.. there are hundreds non-veteran sources you are also eligible for. I have a complete list for California if it makes sense to you ....

ex-fellons should not be a problem some and maybe other others .. I would first contact the following 1) your local communtiy college and make an appointment to speak to a counselor about degree and non-degree programs. Non-degree may be 3- 12 months and get a marketable skill. 2) call contact your local one stop career center that is part of your state dept of labor, you can find the office here www.servicelocator.org/ 3) them call 211 and ask about job training program.. they may be able to direct you to non-profit organizations that train for free.. best to you matthew

The CPS brick school doesn't have the education programs or skilled people to each him - I tried. My questions is it there grant to help me pay for my sons high school education by home school on line.
