    Thank you, I didn't know that the convenience stores don't sell medicine. One thing I bring with me when I travel is a smoke detector /carbon monoxide detector. I take the batteries out while traveling. I have stayed at many AirBNB's where the smoke detector was obviously not working or the batteries were removed. I sleep better at night knowing that it is there, just in case.

    For the clothing, you appear to be thin. I don’t hear people saying you can’t buy clothing, but that it’s very hard to find underwear and stylish clothing IF you’re not thin. Especially since many Japanese stores sell women’s clothing in “one size fits all”.
    I’m moving to Japan this year and I’m overweight, so I’ve been buying extra clothing and undergarments to bring with me since I know I probably won’t fit into clothing in the stores.

      Ahh yeah, living here longer I found there’s even more limitations, like comfortable bras that fit and bathing suits just don’t exists… luckily online stores have been helpful though and some stores ship for free when you buy in bulk so I do a yearly online haul 😅

      Did you get the job???

      @Ellipse_is Před rokem

      @@takeru1686 I did, I ended up with a severe health issue that kept me stateside a few weeks before I left. It was quite unfortunate, but I now just plan on finishing up my N2 and keeping my eyes peeled for a professional setting someday!

      @ChefinJapan  Před 2 lety

      Yesss! I had the same problem... I packed clothes for the season in Japan that I was arriving in and shipped the rest. It was not cheap, but more affordable than buying a whole new wardrobe 😅 also good luck on the move!! Message me on Insta if you ever need any japan help~ ^^

    Do you need an adapter for Japanese outlets?

    • @ChefinJapan
      @ChefinJapan  Před 2 lety

      Surprisingly no! Some things don't work well, like American blow dryers. I think it depends where in the country you're living though.
