In Italy we are lucky: we know them since X Factor talent show, 4 years ago. They were so young (Damiano 18 years old, the others 16 years), but on stage they had the same charisma, beauty and power you can see now. Damiano was an unbelievable performer, like he was born on a stage. (Search on CZcams "Kiss this maneskin X Factor". And that boy was only 18 year old!! And their first songs were masterpieces. Torna a casa, for example, gave me goosebumps. I'm not young, but I'm totally in love with them and their music. And I'm m so happy that now you too, dear friends who don't live in Italy, can know and love their enormous talent!
And I wouldn’t know Eurovision if it wasn’t for Will Ferrell….. thank you Will Ferrell

so true!!! i was overwhelmed by a sense of freedom they have brought to the world through this contest. And for real, the true spirit of Rock'n'Roll, which is not about fame or wealth, but about enjoying life and taking all the opportunities to take the best of it, allowing oneself to exist and accept other's right for it. I'm just shook how these wonderful free people brought such vibe through screens, crazy energy.

@@olhabohma5134 possible I guess, but I frequently see rock fans putting down 'digital/electronic' music in a vague way, as if it's somehow inferior, so that was my frustration. There's good music across all genres, and you might even find pop music which is original and moving...

This is such a different side of Damiano's voice than during esc. It is so emotional even though I don't understand a single word he is saying. How much talent does he have?

I wasn't here before Eurovision because I had never heard of them, I'm not from Italy and they're not very main stream so I don't know how I could have come across them otherwise. I would have started following them the same if they came last because I love the song. You should be happy that the band is getting so much support and love as it's probably their dream come true.

For the ones who's struggling with the meaning of the song: "Marlena torna a casa" (Marlena come back home), Marlena it is a feminine name but is not referred to a woman, is "the inspiration", "the inner strenght". I have seen so many artists use names in their songs but it’s often referred to a real person that they wrote the song about, which isn’t necessarily bad. Instead of that Marlena is their muse, their strength, their creativity and their artistic freedom. In this song Damiano sings about how he wants Marlena to come back home, he wants his strength to come back home cause he feel anxious and cold without it.

If an Italian band like Måneskin had released a song like Coraline when I was in high school I wouldn't have dropped Italian in year 10. I would have inhaled the Italian dictionary, and would have read the untranslated version of Dante's Inferno and watched Fellini without the subtitles by now.
Two years ago eurosong gave us mahmood, i started obsessing over his songs and started learning italian, now im obsessing over their songs and if everything goes by my plan next year ill be moving to italy. I have so much love for that country. Edit: im moving in september 🥰🥰
