  • John Pollock speaks with Lenita Erickson on her short but incredible tenure working at World Championship Wrestling.
Erickson speaks about being hired by Brad Siegel in 2000, being sent to the WCW Power Plant, how she became part of a group aiming to buy the company, seeing the WCW financials, how Siegel viewed professional wrestling, the Fusient deal involving Eric Bischoff, why that deal fell apart, and how Vince McMahon & WWF ultimately bought the company in March 2001.
A fascinating discussion with a major player behind the scenes in the final months of WCW.

What an interview and if it cannot get more crazier during that time.
Ultimately the bottom line is, if the top people arent into the product there is no help. Even with top ratings in the company

This was a tremendous interview. Knowledgeable and disinterested in which side of the argument was at fault. Settles the issue completely, in my view.

Benzos are one hell of a drug!
Check out the Bob Sapp interview she conducted on Thunder. She is no Renee or Mene Gene. Curious as to how she got screen time based on her level of charisma

In all likelihood none of these people are telling the whole truth.

She can put her politics where the sun doesn't shine, but a very fascinating interview.

Her pushing her political views was a huge turn-off. Keep that to yourself. John, please keep your shows politics free.

John did not make one question regarding politics. Its just that some people are unable to keep their views to themselves.

@@AlexA-zj9kz Yeah, she just brought that stuff up herself. John's not one to shy away from different topics either.

I'm not blaming John. In fact, I'm a huge fan of his work and professionalism. It's just that she brought up her preferred political candidate and political party on a few occasions. The world is already polarized as it is with these topics. I come to these wrestling podcasts to get away from those things (even if it is for 1 hour). Maybe John can bring up speaking points with the guests prior to the start of the interview. i.e. please avoid religion and politics. As certain members of the general public don't want to be preached to about religion or politics/ your preference in x over y; on an unrelated topic to professionalwrestling/ this channel. Cheers!

Easy E is a con man who somehow got the keys to the WCW kingdom because he got the right people's ear. Shocker
