- In this video I have shown how to make kuska very popular dish in south india. It’s very simple yet delicious. It’s an excellent dish when we go for picnic.
Khushka, kuska, or Khusqa is a rice dish of primarily South Asian origin made with spices, rice (usually basmati) and ghee. It's a lunch dish, primarily served with Kurma or Korma and is very popular in Southern India.
Ingredients
The spices and condiments used in Khushka may include but are not limited to: cardamom, cinnamon, bay leaves, coriander and mint leaves, apart from ghee, ginger, onions. The dish retains the white color of rice even with the light seasoning with spices. The dish is served with korma, curry, dahi chutney or Raita.

Your hubby sitting on the picnic blanket and enjoying the picnic is the best. Your cooking is also the best. Normally here they would bring bread, cheese and sausages with Salat and fruit plus drinks. Also chips and biscuits. Maybe you could do an English picnic your style. Do your boys bike in the park or go swimming in the pool. I know one is a football fan. Thank you for sharing your family picnic.
