As a mother of 3, I'd rather my kids smoke pot when they are of age (which is a safe alternative to MANY pharmaceutical drugs in the market for a variety of ailments, and helps me with my depression and Trigeminal Neuralgia, and my husband with his knee pain and stomach issues) and stand up for their rights against bad parenting, than stand on a street corner and scream at strangers about magical sky fairies and burning in hell.

These people are teaching their kid to disrespect everyone. Comparing these terrible parents to the actions of normal kids based on their religion is disgusting and suggests that the label of Christian matters more than quality of character.

It takes a lot of hard work to be a real Christian....I mean a true Christian who lives each day according to that book...if it were easy than what’s the point right? If you're called into ministry, there is a period of preparation and testing for that. Jesus the Son of God didn't begin his ministry until he was 30 and that was after years of preparation and testing

This story has always interested me. Today, my 6 yr old accidentally hit another child at school with a rock. It wasn't intentional, he was sorry, but he landed in the principal's office.

It was common in the schools I went to. I think some of those paddlers got off on it. A lot of them would customize their paddle to make it more effective, such as adding a grip or drilling holes in order to reduce air resistance.

Im a Christian but the Christ I know, NEVER called women names, He did call everyone to repentance but loved, forgave and healed everyone who asked Him. The only ones that He ever called names were the RELIGIOUS Sadducees and Pharisees that were hypocrites and judged others. He called them a brood of vipers. As I recall he lovingly forgave the prostitute who the religious folks we're trying to Stone to death. He showed love to the woman at the well in whom he told her all that she ever did which included being married 5 times and not being married to the man that she lived with at the time. Not to judge her but so that she would know who He was and to show her that he loved her. These people are misinterpreting what Jesus came here for, and they are misrepresenting Christ Jesus. God said that He did not send His son into the world to condemn the world, but that through Him, the world might be saved. He was God in the flesh but did not go around condemning people. He is Love! He also told us that we should obey the laws of the land. He tells us to love the Lord our God with all our strength and mind and to love our neighbor as our self. Actually The tells us that is the GREATEST COMANDMENT of all and all the other comandments hang or hinge on that one commandment. God love and help them to see the TRUTH of Gods Word! And not use it a a defense and a tool against others. I beleive the devil uses people behaving this way to falsely represent Christ with the intention of turning people away and rejecting the true Christ after seeing so called Christian's behaving like thiese people.

I was raised in the Church of God and no one behaved this way. Yes sometimes the preachers would get quite passionate but they didnt scream like that or scream just for the sake of screaming. I will say that if you are not raised pentecostal it can be quite a lot to experience and some people do think we are crazy. We believe in being filled with the holy spirit and speaking in tongues and dancing in the spirit but we arent those snake handling offshoot people.

It’s these type of Christians that are the worst. We do not judge people or say they are damned to hell. 7.) Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle-room here?
8.) Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev. 19:27. How should they die?
9.) I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?
10.) My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev.19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? Lev.24:10-16. Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair, like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)

I’m not saying this is true but, is it possible that Duffy didn’t want to take the paddling & ran away in fear because of potential abuse used at home? Children in the face of trauma can react very suddenly & I wonder just over my own time teaching & nannying children, if this is a possibility that just wasn’t talked about at the time since children didn’t even hardly have rights yet & mental health was taboo/“non-existent”.

Religous parents like his that are extreme, they love the feeling of power and when they get a taste of it the crave more and will do just about anything they can to have it. Esp when they take bible verses and use them to justify their behavior. My father has done it, my ex's father has done it and still does, I know others who have, and if you watch other videos you see Mr. Strode always interjecting and trying to answer questions that weren't directed at him. It's a tell tale sign of narcissism and often narcissism produces abuse. Esp within the home.

Now we should preach the same thing, that Jesus Christ came to fulfill the prophecies, and to save the world from condemnation through his death on the cross and to atone for our sins. By responding to his call and making our life duty to follow him wherever he may go, eating the word of God on which we meditate, and continue to grow good fruit, which is in all reaping in the spirit, we are given the assurance that you are the sons of God. "My sheep hear my voice, and they know me, and they follow me". Don't follow the teaching that this man has put for his poor child. Follow in the spirit of truth, and the truth shall set you free.
The Bible is so contradicting how anyone could use it as a tool for walking through life just amazes me. The lack of knowledge of where the bible really came from it was written by men NOT God.
