Have you ever done the pay by time instead of pay by order on DoorDash? I tried it to see what it would do. You don’t know what your gonna make until your done but it pays from the time you accept until you drop it off. So it is good when you have to wait forever for the food. It was only giving me orders that were like 3 or 4 miles too.

I am back again..I thought of something else..you may already do this...I read some research that states that when people are working in the delivery field...sending your customer a friendly text..saying something friendly, and how you appreciate their business..etc can increase your tips..it is personal and is a great way to be a reminder that there's a person doing their service...try it and see if that helps
