That price is excessive and I love the old bottles much more. I also liked the variety of lines with Elixir Charnels, Bee bottles or characteristics bottle designs for different lines and perfumes. And it makes me a bit sad because Guerlain perfumes are amongst the few houses where most creations work for me. Thanks for the review Lola. Rose Cherie would speak to me but not at this price. Happy I have French Kiss.

I’m with you on the packaging, partial to the taller, slimmer bottles but the new ones are slowly growing on me. The customization of the bottles is great info, didn’t know it was an option. That’s some appeal, but will have to make some considerations if I want a bottle. Appreciate the review for Rose Cherie, hope you had a great birthday !

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on Rose Cherie - I haven’t heard of that one yet! I agree, I’m not sure that I love the new packaging. I prefer the previous bottle because it looked more sleek and classy. Not too thrilled about the larger size either because now the line is more expensive. A smaller sized bottle would be a nice option to have. I had been wanting Spiritueuse Double Vanille, but I think I’ll try to hunt down the older packaging!

I really do agree with your impressions about Rose Chérie. Except for the bubblegummy part I didn't really have. It's quite sparkling and sharp in the opening so I thought more about Bulgarian rose with maybe a hint of geranium.
I like this fragrance but so far this is not a love for me. I have French Kiss and Lipstick rose that I do prefer to this one. I didn't think it was similar to French Kiss but I do see the similarities in its evolution and especially the dry down as the almond starts showing up more. So for that price tag I think I'll just stick to the ones I have already 😅
The new bottles are really pretty but this collection is reaching a dissuasive price tag to me 😐

Thank you for this review of Rose Cherie. I did actually treat myself and order a new customised bottle of Tonka Imperial, but i had Guerlain contact me saying they had technical problems with the online personalisation and that it had cancelled my order. So i never got charged and didn't end up with my bottle. I think if I'm honest, i was partly relieved because of the extreme cost. Though i was disappointed not to receive my sample of Rose Cherie that i was excited for. Happy to hear about it though. Not sure I'm now in a rush to but another bottle just yet, and that's even with the 15% off that they offered. I genuinely do prefer the older bottles. Xxx

I love the new bottles but me hitting checkout is hard at $360. If it was just a $100 cheaper. Rose Cherie is the one I'm eyeing though.

I love the old bottles but I don't mind the look of the new ones. I only wish these fragrances were also available in 50ml bottles because the price of 100ml is way too high for me.
Yes, most brands are making 50ml or less as an option. I agree, too high.

What are your thoughts on discontinuation of the Elixir Charnels line? Isn't Gourmand coquin one of your all time faves?:(
Yes, it is however I have plenty for now and next time I go to Paris I'll pick up a bee bottle. It doesnt make sense to me that they discontinued it. The only thing I can come up with is that the line itself wasnt selling that well. We never know what will happen next with Guerlain
Thank you for your lovely review beauty! It's very helpful! I've been wearing French Kiss since 2016 and having only few drops left it's like preparing for a funeral. I was so disappointed when I heard the news of being discontinued and after so much research I can't find anything that can come as close as to that excellent fragrance. I know you said you enjoy the less raspberry scent, for me it was the opposite. On the other hand maybe is time for something more grown up and mature which I think Rose Cherie offers. What do you think? I definitely detect the similarities and I found it cheeky that they took French Kiss, changed it a bit, changed the bottle and the name and made it more expensive :( but I guess this is marketing. I think the only solution to my endless search is to suck it up and buy Rose Cherie, and engrave it as a treat! Let's see! I wonder what do you think about the other ones of this range? Like the vanilla one?
Hi! I’m sure you’ve found a replacement by now, but I wanted to offer my suggestion of trying “oud nude” from the house, it’s the only fragrance I’ve consistently gotten stopped and complimented on and loved so much I would repurchase once I use my bottle. It is definitely a different profile to rose, but it is a sweet, sexy yet comforting fragrance that speaks in an elevated way. I think it quite nicely melds a youthful sparkle in a “grown up package” and it includes raspberry as a prominent note :) I love guerlain and I have yet to test a premium line scent I didn’t appreciate, so perhaps this could be a raspberry alternative to French kiss!

@@kilakal1 oooh what do you think of rose Cherie?! I have a 10ml bottle coming to try and I am so excited but a little nervous as so many reviews express how powdery it is, but it sounds like a beautiful rose blend that would have staying power based on the notes :)

Hi Lola. I have heard that this fragrance is almost identical to TF Rose D'Amalfi. What are your thoughts on that? I sprayed on Amalfi in-store and did not like it on me at all. It was so sweet and extremely powdery.
Hi. Sorry for the late reply. I was on vacation. I have both perfumes and I think they are similar but i wouldn’t say almost identical. The TF is sweeter and very almondy as well. It is quite powdery which I don’t always love but it works well on my skin.
