Vegetarian/vegan food in Thailand

- Today we headed out to Chamlong’s Asoke Food Court. It’s only open from 6am to 2pm, so you need to head there for either breakfast or lunch. They also require you to exchange your cash for coupons which you then use to buy your food.
Everything here is vegetarian and super cheap! We only spent 150 baht and we had plenty of food for two HUNGRY stomachs. We had:
- Pad thai
- 6 samosas
- Cabbage soup side dish
- Mock meat with rice & vegetables
- A mystery tofu, vegetable, noodle soup
We visited on a public holiday so we think it was quieter than normal. There are also loads of other markets in the area, so if you want a full day out of food and markets then we can recommend this area.
Get off at either the Kamphaeng Phet metro station or the Saphan Khwai BTS station. The foodcourt is a bit hidden, but easily found using the Maps.me app. You’ll see that there is an abundance of other markets around while walking to Chamlong’s and if you look at Google maps or Maps.me you’ll also see that there is plenty in the area.

We said goodbye to our jobs, sold all our belongings, and left Australia on a one-way ticket to Shanghai with just each other and our backpacks! We plan to travel the world for a year, see as much as possible, meet as many people as we can, and most importantly MAKE OUR MONEY LAST!
When we left Australia we decided to make travel vlogs to share our journey with our friends and family back home. We also love watching other travel vloggers on CZcams, in particular Kara and Nate, The Endless Adventure, The Way Away, and Flying The Nest.

Thanks for watching 😁
Lovely video. I really enjoy watching. Thumbs up...!
Thanks 😊
This is one of my favorite places ❤️
Really cheap & tasty 😋
The food looked very inviting. We love Thai food so much variety.
We're loving all the Thai food and its so cheap 😄 Feels like we have a banquet every meal lol
I like there so much but there is too far from my house 🙃
Once again, great video ! ;D
The new video! I love your channel! It helps me learn English :) Are you planning your travel itinerary?
We plan week by week 😂😂
130 BAHT? OMG that's under $5 USD. AMAZING!
That’s right - amazing value!
Good food in Thiylang. What about Walking street ....
There are loads of night markets everywhere too and they close the streets so they can line them with stalls - mainly food 👌🤗 There really is food everywhere all time of the day, no hangry travellers!
LOL BANG SUE for a railway stop station. Some things are hilarious in ASIA. I will stick to bringing my own cutlery or chopsticks, that pot of water thing did not look appealing for cleaning my cutlery.
Nah it was fine. They were clean to start with anyway 👍
Did the food contain sugar?
Good question....probably....and a lot of salt. We actually found it quite hard to find vegetarian food while in Bangkok - we were lucky that the vegetarian festival was on! 😀
@@AprilandTimTravel I visited a place that sells vegan food here in Bangkok and I thought to myself great but was really disappointed when I found that the food contained sugar. Thanks for letting me know about what the food's like where you went to in Asoke. And yes I have experienced a lot of salt in my food too especially in buffet open areas, probably helps with the preservation but such a shame as Thai food is so good!
@@armaniyo We've found the sugar battle in Asia very hard. Its even added to fruit juice unless you specify that you don't want it. Caught us out a few times 😥
I'm sorry, I know it is a lifestyle choice and all due respect but as a chef you are missing so much in flavors being vegetarian / vegan.
