Israel withdraw unilaterally from Gaza and was faced with Hamas who started targeting Israel's southern towns and citizens for the past 20 years. Hezbollah is supported by Iran militarily. Hamas received regularly billions of money transfers which they invested in acquiring weapons against Israel and in their tunnel network- instead of building an economy and developping the Gaza strip for the benefit of their population.
