Happy Birthday to legend John Paul Jones! Today (January 3), he is 77 years old - continued blessings to him! FYI, Jimmy's birthday is next on January 9th and he will be 79! Danmark is an excellent introduction to their live music. A recommendation: if you continue with live performances, don't skip a song just because you already reacted to a live version of it because they never played a song the same way twice. For example, they also performed this song at Royal Albert Hall but it is significantly different from here. Yes, the overall structure is the same but the improvisation will be completely different and give it a different vibe.
@@juliemanarin4127 C'est soixant- trois si je m'en souviens bien, Mme Julie. Bonne fête, vous. Peace, love and bellbottoms.
theyd only been together for a few months here, they blew everybody away live!!
The beginning of their masterful improvisational skills.
Almost everyone overlooks how great John Paul Jones is. He was throwing down thunder also. JPJ always let Page and Plant steal the spotlight, he’s content hammering away in the background
Totally agree, he was actually the "maestro" of the band, Page was the genius, Bonzo the monster and Plant, well, just was the perfect voice to this team
"...I'd like to introduce Led Zeppelin to ya!" And...the world of music would never be the same!👍
This never gets old. Absolutely astounding, especially considering how early into their time together as a band (a few months) this was done. Thanks for including these live performances. It's good to know the studio versions just so one can appreciate how good they were live, as well as appreciate just how much of a genius Page was in the studio. I hope you go back and pick up Babe I'm Gonna Leave You from this Danmarks studio performance. Plant is just mesmerizing. Thanks!
Awesome! This was 1969!!! They were only together for a short time!!!
Hey ... it's the New Yardbirds! An experimental band, guys in their early 20s playing for a small crowd. :)
Great that you follow up from the chat comments....these kids in the crowd had no idea what they were seeing at the time.
So glad you finally got around to this one. It's magnificent!
Next Dazed and Confused from the same performance.
May I wish Mr JPJ, best wishes and many more, on his 77th Birthday on 3rd January. Much love to you Sir ♥️
My Man, it doesn’t matter what your studio looks like. You are putting out great reactions with great respect. THAT is Awesome!
Love that you're doing the live stuff! This is one of the first few times they played live before going on tour as Led Zeppelin.
Brilliant quality from 1969...I've read the kids were told to sit quietly because they were taping live.
Led Zeppelin never play Song the same way twice they improvise their Blues artist they just move where the spirit takes them
They were only pups when this was filmed
This has got to be one of their first gigs. Robert Plant even got a fresh perm for the occasion. Their songs must have been really planned out for live play, putting spaces in for jamming and working out the cues to restart the main part of the song.
Notice how John Bonham follows the lead guitar, often playing the riff rather than following the bass as is considered usual.
now you have seen the violin bow technique - seeing is believing. The advantage of the early Danish and British foootage is that the gigs were more intimate and you can see all four of them and how they interact with each other. The other three tracks on that session are Dazed and Confused , communication break down and Babe i'm gonna leave you. Do try some of the tracks from Royal Albert Hall 1970 that is also a really good gig. Jimmy Page collated and edited the film so you know its gonna be done well.
You deserve a dedicated space where ya can turn down the lights smoke a little and drop an album and play it in its entirety, like we did.
Abraxis by Santana or Moody Blues, Pink Floyd etc.. and let the music take you (friends) away.
Must have a bitching set up with speakers etc..
Going Old School the Old Way.
yeah
^ ^ Those Danish teenagers must have been thinking.......WWHat is this????? Are they from another planet? So FFFFn good The mighty Zep! Foxy love fae Scotland VVxx
this was there first concert as led zeppelin
Not true. They were first billed as "Led Zeppelin" on Nov. 9, 1968 at the Middle Earth Club in London. That was 4+ months before this. They played many times as Led Zeppelin live before this footage. Also, their original debut as the "New Yardbirds" was October 15, 1968 at Surrey University in the UK.
Excellent choice, thank you. I'd never heard this version! It's time to visit puff the magic dragon...🤣
@@JU5TINPDX HaHa! I was going to write it that way originally...Great minds!
That’s funny 😆 it’s also very appropriate since the in this video Jimmy is playing his legendary “dragon telecaster”, given to him by Jeff Beck and hand painted by Page himself.
I always recommend this one and Dazed and Confused from the same show. Early Zep. Magnificent!
Your video is all jacked up
Dan Marks Radio? Does he live in Denmark?
They improved on their improvisation until it was seamless.
Nothing pre-recorded, no autotune, no dancers, twerking. Just pure, raw, unadulterated genius from the world's greatest rock band.
oh my God there's no twerking what is happening to Western civilization with such artistic gyrations
