    Am I crazy thinking this is the best the band has sounded in... I don't know how long? James' voice is honestly incredible, Lars is keeping steady time without too many odd fills, Kirk is operating on a solid level, Rob is awesome as always. Metallica is back!!

    I used to work at a liquor store deli in the marina in San Francisco and these dudes would wander in there sometimes. I particularly remember Lars coming in with a screaming toddler in a stroller and asking if I could rinse out a sippy cup for him. Happy to help out a dad and a metal god, for which he gave me the advice, "never have kids" 😂

    The difference in quality of Metallica when they clearly practice for hours vs when you can tell they don't is night and day.
    This was fantastic from start to finish. Very impressed with Lars and Kirk for playing without the tape!

      But he always looks line he is fighting it and struggling to play. Contrast that with Nicko in Maiden (who is 69 yeas old) who just seams to be smoother and more relaxed while playing. And always smiling while doing it.

    I will never forget that night. Louder than Life was my first ever concert. I had always dreamed of going to a concert and feeling the energy of live music. Not only was I able to live out my dream of being at a concert, I got to see my heroes on stage, which had been on my bucket list for so long. On that night two of my biggest dreams came true, thank you louder than life and Metallica!

    I was at this show on Friday & I was the closest to the stage that I have ever been for a Metallica concert & I was loving ever minute of it! This is one of only a handful of Metallica songs that I’ve learned to play James’ parts all the way through the song, it’s an incredible song! Metallica rocks & I cannot wait for their next tour & for them to do meet & greets again. I will absolutely pay to meet all 4 of them (I won a raffle through the Metallica Club back in 2000 & got to meet Jason Newstead) & stand on the stage for the show etc as it will be absolutely worth it to me! They’re my #1 all time favorite metal band ever!

    This was probably one of the best fucking shows I have ever seen in my life (going to concerts since the late '80s). Was bouncing around between being 1-2 people deep and on the rails themselves. I got to be right in front of James when he played the acoustic parts to Fade To Black. This was as good as I have ever heard them, maybe the best, since Cincinnati in 1992.

    This live stuff they’ve put out recently is awesome. The sound is on point, the playing is inspired and the boys have renewed energy. They definitely have listened to the original recordings and made a decision to play them true to the albums. The vocals are better than ever, Lars is on time, and Kirk is playing better than ever…. Robert is always solid…

    The first concert I ever went to was Monsters of Rock in Foxboro when Metallica opened; I was 14. I took my 17 year old to this and we got as close as I did 33 years ago. The energy in the crowd and from all the bands was off the charts. Best concert experience of my life.

    I was working at Kentucky Kingdom that day and I rushed over to a clear spot to watch them. It was only for 2 songs (Whiplash and RTL) but I could still see the screens. May not be as cool, but hey at least I *technically* got to see them.

    Very first time I heard Metallica was this song...I was 5 years old. Very first time I saw Metallica live was 2009 at Ozzfest in Dallas, TX. This was the second song they played during their set and I crowd surfed during it to the very front of the pit. Fucking fantastic memories.
