Yes it’s a bottle capper You use it to scrunch metal bottle cap on to a glass bottle 🥰
Yes. We still have it from the great grandparents. Do they even make those kind of bottle caps?
It amazes me how the things you find in the bins are better than we find in the regular stores here. I love your transformations.
Same in my areas 😞
Same!! And the prices are silly…I regularly see Dollar Tree items priced at 2.49 😂
A CAR JACK!
Tiffany, I can't begin to imagine how much time you spend putting these videos together for us. Once again, you've wowed and inspired me!
Thank you so much! 💕
For the tray you used Mod Podge and a piece of tissue, use a plastic sandwich bags and put your hand in it and smooth the wrinkles. Hope this works for you! I really enjoy your channel!
Thank you so much! 💕
Where do you find your flowers and greenery?
Wow i can't believe all the great finds at your goodwill bins!!!!!! Funny but when you pull out something I'm saying yes!'
I love your vision and your style 🥰thank you
@@tiffanygemmer-DIYdesign I just seen someone getting Saran wrap and kind of balling it up and rubbing the wrinkles out. Not sure if it works I just saw it on another CZcams video and thought I'd share with you. I love your videos!! I've been watching them for 2 days straight! Keep up the amazing work, lots of great information and very nice finished projects!! ❤❤
Oh, my you never ever disappoint!! The brass oblong container would’ve been in my trash, actually I would’ve never even picked it up! LOL! I was amazed at how the Patina looked with just your paint application! I also love your sweet spirit when you are sharing your information. You are such an encourager, you have such a way of making people believe they could do anything with junk! Thank you once again for sharing ❤ I love it all❤
Aw, thank you so much, Joy Elsey! 🤗💕
I want to share a tip some may not know
about. You will not have any bubbles or wrinkles with Mod Podge (MP) if you iron the tissue paper, paper, napkins, fabric, etc. to the Mod Podged project.
1. Spread the MP on your project and let dry completely.
2. Once dry, lay the paper over the MP
3. Place parchment paper over the paper, and iron with high heat no steam. Household iron or tools like the Cricut heat press can be use.
The ironed paper will be smooth, no bubbles or wrinkles, and very well adhered. Sand the edges to add that finishing touch
Hope this helps someone. Blessings to you.
😮😮😮 cool
Thank you so much! I appreciate it! 💕 Blessings to you as well!
Came here to say this as well ❤
I only recently found your channel and I love love LOVE your channel's format! So many people just buy things but don't actually DO anything with them. You are brilliant with transforming stuff! It is such a talent...gift. I'm sure it's for lighting but you nearly give me a heart attack working on your counter tops lol. The places you shop have so many 'diamonds in the rough!' you are very lucky! Thank you for the inspiration
She is very good at this!!!!!
Tiffany is the very best you will love everything she does. She’s absolutely amazing.
@tanyaperrin1218 You landed on a great channel. Welcome & Enjoy!
I just found you on you-Tube. U find great things and recycle them. I love watching you. You give Mr great inspiration. Thank you Anna
Welcome! 🤗 Thank you so much! 💕 I’m so glad you enjoyed! I appreciate you joining me here! 😊
Use the iron method for the tissue paper. I have a tiny travel iron. Let the Mod Podge dry (I use a blow dryer to dry it quick, I don’t have patience to wait) and apply the tissue paper and a piece of parchment paper over that and iron. Start in the middle and work your way out. Check it out on CZcams. Lots of videos.
Thank you so much for sharing! I appreciate it! 💕
I am blown away by the quality of stuff at your store!
For no wrinkle’s when Mod Podging put layer of Mod Podge on your surface, let it completely dry, then place your paper on the item and iron on with a low heat. A Cricut iron or travel or craft iron from Walmart will work as well, however you can use a regular iron, just keep it moving. The heat reactivates the glue In the Mod Podge and leaves a flawless finish. Works every time! I always love all your projects!! ❤️
Thank you so much for the tip! I appreciate it! 💕
Just love everything. I always look forward 2 ur channel. 😊
Your upcycling is so elegant!
I’m amazed at the “practically new and new” things you find at the bins. It seems like the GW stores would mark things down in order to sell them. Makes no sense to me.
The letter press tray was an amazing find!!
Mystery Item is a bottle capper from the 50's-60's for homemade beer, rootbeer, etc.
I spent many hours at the old age of 8-10 putting bottle caps on my mom's homemade beer! 😁
#WashingtonState
It always makes me happy and relaxed to watch your videos. I love watching you thrift and repurpose everything beautifully that you have a vision & purpose for. It amazes me what you can find at the Goodwill bins. I loved the couch and wooden stools. For what they wrre I still thought the prices were great. The black metal table and 4 chairs was around 60 dollars in total. That is still a very fair price.
You found such lovely goodies and made magic. The roses wreath is beautiful for your daughters room.
For those that have an injet printer, they can print a word to make a label. Inkjets where we live in Germany are very pricey.
I love the surprises and ideas you come up with like the moss stones in the bowl. Thanks for giving us tips on what to do when selling a house like making sure one has a nice house number. It is all in the details. Have a great day Tiffany, hugs from Germany. 💖💜💐 Take care everyone. 💞
Thank you so much! 😊
Hi Tiffany, when I do decoupage I use Sara or, similar type cling wrap to smooth out the wrinkles. For reasons unknown to me, the cling wrap works well and doesn't tear or rip the tissue paper. Just lay down you paper atop Modge Podge then brush on the top coat of MP, then take a piece of cling wrap, loosely balled up, and gently smooth over you paper in sections, starting in the middle and working your way outward to the edges. I find this to be a no-fail technique. Best wishes for the new year!!
Thank you! 💕
Always blown away - not only by what you find, but also by what you do with it. Amazing!
Thank you! 💕
The letter press drawer is stunning! What an incredible find!!!
I agree, that was my favorite item. 😍
That alone is worth more than e everthing she spent in both trips.
Thank you! 😊💕
I loved how the copper tub turned out!! And your welcome sign turned out looking so pretty. You are an inspiration!! ❤
Thank you! 😊
I believe it is an old-time tire jack. I seem to remember seeing my Daddy using one.
Tiffany, you have so very nice pieces, the items that you made over was absolutely amazing, you always do such wonderful work, that being said, I absolutely adore you , a d always enjoy your videos.
Thank you so much! 😊💕
Just love watching you thrift and then give new life to items that would have ended up in a landfill! They are all just beautiful! Bravo! ❤
Love the tray & accessories for coffee bar area. Love the photo album & really love your style...my style.
Thank you! 😊
Your bins had absolute gold and I would have bought way too much but love every minute of it! Thank you for sharing your inspiration and your shopping trip ❤🇨🇦
Wow, amazing how you achieved that patina! Thanks for helping us realize that we can use what we what we have on hand!
Love all of your projects. Love the brass and how you distressed it. Love your channel!! one of my favorites.!
Thank you so much! 😊💕
I love watching you transform items from the bins. 🥰
Thank you so much! 😊
Hi Tiffany - the metal piece is used to cap bottles, my dad had one!
Hi Tiffany 😘😘
You don't know how much I appreciate your talent , you simply turn trash into treasure 👏👏
When I see you getting things from the bins I wonder what you are going to do with these things 🤔🤔
I love you ❤ you are so sweet and beautiful 😍
Your family is lucky to have you 😜👍
Amazing transformations…..just love watching your videos! The tray with the beaded handle was one of my favorite pieces.
Thank you so much! 😊
The bead handles were so cute and creative. And the brass oblong container turned out looking very authentic and so beautiful with the white roses!! Loved it all!! You are a creative genius❤
Aw, thanks! 😊💕
Your Goodwill bins has THE best stuff!!!!
Right!???
I loved ALL OF THE ITEMS YOU CHOSE TO FLIP! 🙃😊
Hi Tiffany, love your videos...When are you going to video a tour of your home or at least one room, so we can see how your lovely recreated items works together. Thanks for the wonderful inspiration!
Thank you so much! If you look back at past videos, I share a little more of our home. I’m also prepping to do a room makeover, so keep an eye out for that in the coming months. :) Thank you so much for joining me here! 💕
Love how you made the five individual candle holders! To get tissue paper smooth the best method I've found is to let a thick layer of Mod Podge dry, then put down the tissue paper with parchment paper over it and then iron with no steam. I use a mini iron set on high.
I love your videos!! Always excited when I see a new one posted!!
Love the gray felted pumpkin! Our bins are not this plentiful for goodies like yours.
I love your DIY’s . You have such a good eye putting project together , with such a beautiful outcome.
Thank you! 💕
I'm amazed at the wonderful items that you find at the Goodwill bins. I love the way you make them over!! ❤❤
I loved the basket you put a blanket or scarf in. I would’ve added leather belts to it and hung it on a door with a floral or greenery arrangement in it. The Peony wreath was beautiful. It f you use Saran Wrap or a ziploc baggie on your hand you can smooth out the tissue paper without tearing it if you’re gentle. I prefer the heat method because it gives flawless results. I go the regular route when I want a more distressed look. Also when doing the reverse transfer method always let it dry overnight. When you think you have removed all of the paper let it fully dry. You will be able to see the paper left before sealing.
For the tray, add mod podge and let it dry. Then cut the tissue paper to fit, lay it over the dry mod podge, then use the little cricket iron and iron it down. Then put another layer of mod podge. Great video!
Thank you so much! 😊💕
I really like your format. It moves quickly with lots of great Ben shopping tips withoiconstant commentary.
Thank you so much! 😊💕
You cap apply mode podge and let fully dry. Lie down your tissue and cover with parchment paper and iron ( with no steam) until it adheres.
Interesting! Thank you! 💕
Amazing is how I can describe all your makeovers and vision.
That unidentifiable rusty old thing reminds me of a juicer that my mom had in the early 50's. Every once in awhile she would use it to squeeze fresh orange juice. But if that's what it once was, all the necessary parts are missing. 😂
I love the way you're fearless with paint. I'd be so stessed about it. Your projects are great. Very nice.
Thank you so much! 😊💕
Oh, love the photo album makeover! Genius.
Thank you! 😊
Hi Tiffany! You are overflowing with creativity! On the Welcome sign with Mod Podge, this is what I do:
Print with a laser printer.
Apply Mod Podge to surface of item, not to the paper.
Let it dry 24 hours.
Use a sponge to apply a LITTLE water.
Work paper off rubbing gently with fingers.
Apply more water with fingers as needed.
This takes patience, but it seems to go faster when I relax and count it as therapy.
When done, I let it dry well, then apply a clear coat of satin acrylic, etc.
I hope that helps.
Thank you so much for the tips! I appreciate it! 💕
@@tiffanygemmer-DIYdesign you are welcome. Thank you for always sharing great inspirations with us!
My girl, you have been blessed with such talent, thank you for sharing it with us! God bless you and your sweet family.
Thank you so much! 😊 It’s my pleasure! I appreciate you joining me here! God bless you and your family as well! 💕
Love your projects! The picnic basket turned out beautifully, the workmanship looked like a vintage piece.
Thank you so much! 💕
U r so patient girl I like the rankles in the paper it for me makes it look rustic ❤ beautiful job on all ur projects love watching ur ideas thanks for sharing
I just recently started watching your videos. I just love watching people shopping at the bins. The closest one to me is a two hour drive. I have not tried that method of transferring words yet. But another crafter’s videos that I like is Our Upcycled life is very good at doing this. Watch some of her videos. She is a very good teacher. Keep sharing these videos with us. Love them. The tray just do what you were doing only use apiece of plastic wrap bunched up to smooth out your paper Works on all types of paper.
Thank you! 💕
I’m amazed at your creativity and talent at repurposing Goodwill items! You have become one of my most favorite people to watch. I’ve learned so much!! Thank you for the time you put into making these videos. ❤
Aw, Thank you so much, Monica! 💕 It’s my pleasure! Thanks for joining me here! 😊
Goodness you REALLY scored and at that price, awesome! You turn things into some of the prettiest pieces and i truly enjoy watching😊
Thank you so much! 😊
I absolutely love your style and how you refresh what you find
Thank you so much! 💕
I recently completed an outdoor project where I was decoupaging very large graphics onto a beadboard surface. The way I was able to apply them virtually wrinkle-free was to put the glue down in a very thin coat and in a line no more than about an inch wide. Little bit by little bit I smoothed out the paper then laid down the next THIN line of glue. Think of how you would apply contact paper to a countertop. Another tip is never try to 😢rub or roll a wrinkle out. It'll tear everytime. Just press straight down and you'll be amazed at how smooth it becomes. I will admit all this is quite time consuming and requires a lot of patience. But the results are as close to perfect as you can get with decoupage. 😊
Thank you so much for the tips! I appreciate it! 💕
Gosh, I felt like there was a ton of good stuff today. Other outlets Ive seen dont seem to be as unorganized as yours. Kudos to you that you search, lol
So many great baskets and florals. It was really fun today❤
Amazing transformations as usual. I just love watching your creative your magic! 🫶
Always a delight watching you choose, purchase and refurbish!❤
You always do great work refurbishing! Your ideas are always spot on!
Thank you so much! 💕
To get dust off of silk flowers, I throw them in the dryer with no heat for a couple of minutes. Once in a while, a leaf or flower will come off, but usually, I can just slide it back on the stem.
So creative!
Oh gurl!!! How did you know I needed a fix of goodwill bins? Just kidding, our weather is keeping us away...love the way you style things and the way you make people to think outside the box.
Ha, so glad I could bring you along! 😉 Thank you so much! 💕
@@tiffanygemmer-DIYdesign 😄
So enjoy your creativity and aesthetics.
Hi Tiffany, i love them all but my favorite is the last tin container with the flat beads you painted white. Your staging is beautiful. Thx. Donna xoxo
Warts and all - not too much chat and you admit it! Such a relief for those of us with two thumbs!
So glad you enjoyed! 💕
Your awesome Tiffany - a highlight of the week. I hope your channel continues to grow. Take care - Karen 🇦🇺
Aw, thank you so much, Karen! 😊💕
It is a bottle capper. Our family regularly made rootbeer. We'd save large glass pop bottles, wash them, and fill them with a mixture of rootbeer extract, sugar, yeast, and water. Then we would cap the bottles and wait for the yeast to produce carbonation.
Unfortunately, I don't know where to get bottle caps or rootbeer extract.
I have to say I love your end result with the ModgePodge piece. That tissue u added was ingenious. It looks amazing.❤❤❤
Thank you so much! 😊
Great video....that's a bottle capper. We used it when we made our own root beer. The root beer was great on our home churned ice cream!
I bet! That sounds amazing! 💕
Everything you purchased and turned into something very very lovely I love your videos
This is one of my top 3. It all starts with looking outside the box and letting your creative genius flow!🌞Fl
Thank you so much! 💕
As usual Tiffany, a home run!!! You're definitely gifted& very informative. You purchased a lot of items that I would have. I love that picnic basket, great colors. The color treatments that you did on those tins was on point, the trays were lovely. Your haul was wonderful & creations were so fun&chic. Well done.👏🌷👍🙏🌟
I would love to see how you stage homes to sell with the pieces you reinvent! Awesome pieces.
😮😮 that’s a good idea
Please keep these videos coming 😊thank you!!
WOW...I just love your channel !!! The PB candle upcycle was awesome, as well as all other items. I look forward to your videos every week...I get so much inspiration from you !!!! Thanks for sharing your talent !
Aw, thank you, Hope! 😊💕
You are so creative! Do you ever sell anything you make? It’s all so beautiful!
Thank you! 💕 Some of the items I set aside for staging, some I use in our home, I give a lot to family and friends, and some I sell locally. Thanks for joining me here! 😊
Such great finds, but even better were your updates! Everything was a hit with me.
You must sell your transformations or you have the world's largest collection of cutting boards.
Ha! Some of the items I set aside for staging, some I use in our home, I give a lot to family and friends, and some I sell locally. Thanks for joining me here! 😊
SOOO excited to see another video from you!! I always pick up new tips from you and love your transformations!
LOVE EVERY VIDEO WATCH THEM OVER AND OVER I THINK THAT THE WOOD ITEM IS A TOY SHOUD WOODPECKER GOING UP AND DOWN TY
For fake florals from the bins I usually put them in a pillow case (knot the top) and wash it on cold delicate! Works great
Thank you so much for the tip! I appreciate it! 💕
@@tiffanygemmer-DIYdesign LOVE your channel!
Wall joint compound (not spackling) works wonderfully for the "cement" look on vases and bowls and isn't that expensive. Saran Wrap wadded/balled up helps to smooth out decoupage with less potential for tearing.
Your work and inspiration pieces are amazing and beautiful! So many things are my taste! I love anything rustic. I tend to just clean it and use it as is. Great job! I wish we had a good will bin store here, but we have 2 local good wills. I go once a month or so. I go to thrift shops and habitat for humanity when I need some particular items I don't have or I want to switch out for a new look. Thank you for inspiring so many of us in taking thrown away items , basically and giving them a new life and purpose! My favorites were the cutting boards and baskets!
Tiffany, you do beautifulDiys I love them all
oh....that picnic basket! Lovely.
Thank you so much! 💕
OMG... MS. TIFFANY, FIRST, I MUST say that I am SO HAPPY that i found you! You, My friend, are NOTHING short of AMAZING at what you do. I be in awe watching your videos. SECOND, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY CZcams LIFE?! LOL. Yes, there are ALOT of content creators that do similar things that you do but its just SOMETHING so different about watching your videos 🤷🏼♀️!PLEASE keep doing what you do because i am here for it Sweetie! YOU are gonna go far and fast with this CZcams thingy. Im moving into my new place in March and im starting off NEW AND FRESH! I see SO MANY beautiful things that i will be incorporating into my home. You have NO IDEA how much you have inspired me. Severe Depression is VERY Real! I am SO GLAD that i found your CZcams page. Thank You So Much! Your New #1 Subby💕
Welcome! 🤗 Aw, you’re sweet! Thank you so much! 💕 All the best with your fresh start! Thanks for joining me here! 😊
You are so creative with your finds ! I loved the candle sticks you made from pottery barn
Thank you! 💕
You are so talented with your ideas. I love your videos
I've seen people use a small scrunched up bundle of cling film, plastic wrap. It helps smooth out the paper without being harsh on the delicate paper, and it also minimises wrinkles. A finishing top coat can remove more wrinkles once everything is dry. However its practically impossible to get rid of 100% of the wrinkles, especially with thin tissue paper. Heavier rice paper can be a little more user friendly.
Thank you! 💕
Loved all the projects. You held my jnterest till the end. Thanks for sharing
I’m so glad you enjoyed all the way through! Thanks for joining me here! 😊💕
You have the best goodwill I've ever seen ❤
Love watching you transform items.
Thank you! 💕
That metal thing you were asking about is a bottle capper. My mom had one for when she made root beer. She would make it for the holidays. Nothing better than homemade root beer!!
That’s what I was thinking
I love watching your videos. I just can't believe you paint and do crafts on your beautiful counter tops.
Ha, they have held up great (to both my crafting and our 3 kiddos). 😜 Thanks for watching!
Definitely the iron on method for that tissue paper. Add the Mod Podge and dry it. Lay down the tissue paper and smooth as best you can. Lay down a piece of parchment paper and iron over it. This reactivates the Mod Podge so the tissue will stick on the tray. This also works for other thin paper like napkins.
Thank you, Ellen! 💕
For using mod podge with tissue or napkins, first apply mod podge and let it dry completely then place your design element as you want it to appear. Then cover with parchment paper and use a liw temp iron to reactivate the mod podge by simply gently moving it across the surface until your tissue is completly adhered. It is so much easier.
Thank you! 💕
Oh, and one of those small travel irons makes it a little easier.
Great finds and beautiful up cycles! For the reverse transfer, let it sit and dry for 24 hours before wetting the paper and rubbing off. Just continue to feel for the paper left behind and let dry and repeat until you remove it all, then seal. It just takes time and practice but the end result is amazing!! Love your channel!! ❤
Thank you so much for the tips! I appreciate it! 💕
Everything looks great. That wooden drawer is sometimes fashioned with a large wooden initial attached to the front.
I still can’t believe the amount of things in those bins!!! You are making me rethink what I will throw out to prepare my house for sale… I think I will use many of your ideas… waste not want not.
Thank you so much! 😊 I’m so glad you came away with some inspiration! Thanks for joining me here! 💕
Tiffany you are amazing one woman junk is another woman beautiful decor😘
Thank you so much! 😊
Another fun and inspiring video full of one of a kind creations. Tiffany, I still just do not know where your ideas come from. Have a blessed weekend. See ya again soon. ❤😊❤😊🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
