Dope video Wavy Wayne! I wish I would’ve saw this vid before uploading my song on Distrokid 😅 I played with the FG-X buttons by ear and the first one I used was the gain in on the button left corner. Also this track is fire, RIP PnB🙏

Slate always coming with fire
Everyone's losing their minds over another mastering tool that I do not own. It occurred to me that my Slate All Access includes FG-x 2. Within about ten minutes, I had made the adjustments needed on my most recent mix. I'm using it as a plugin within Izotope Rx which is working very well. The metering presets are handy. A little goes a long way when dialing in the low and high and transient detail etc. the combination of the two working together seems to give me a very similar mastering platform. Great video. Thanks.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, I'm mad. I have the all access pass at slate digital which is very awsome by the way, but I been looking at initial Audio's mastering plugin cause I deemed it's easier and more functional than the fg-x mastering plugin at slate digital and finally made the decision to buy initial audio's mastering plugin just yesterday, just to come across this video introducing an updated version of slate digital fg-x mastering plugin, which by the way looks so dope. I could have saved that 50 dollars. Again..........Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!

Seems like a cool limiter. Comp and the advance features with the different algorithm options is nice. That said, this track is still pretty quiet. Definitely doesn't sound like it's at "mastered" loudness for the genre. Listen to similar tracks like "The Story of OJ". Sitting around 8-10LUFs, 7 when the kick is hitting.
Right, that's because he was mastering for music streaming services in this video. Usually Apple Music and Spotify have their own personal loudness ceiling. 8-10 LUFS usually is mastering for a cd or digital download.
I like to meter using short term LUFS is there a way to set that?
Does it have oversampling?
Is this all you peeps run in the master ?

Back in the day, Slate was always saying this would be a free update to FG-X purchasers. Is this still the case?
If you have the all access pass you can update automatically im not sure if its a free update if you have a perpetual license for .

Anyone else have an this issue wherr the plugin doesnt function right or know what may cause it? The plugin doesnt show any of the meters or knobs so it makes it almost unusable. I only have this problem with the fgx2, mo-tt, and infinity eq. I can't figure out why.

Anybody notice the lufs for Spotify on the FGx2 is - 10. But on Expose 2, it's - 14 lufs. 🤷🏼♂️ So is the FGx2 wrong? By the way, I'm loving the fgx2
Spotify says -14 but -10 is actually more realistic I find.
