Akaso Brave 7LE vs SJCAM SJ10 Pro

- Had a viewer ask if I could compare the new Akaso Brave 7LE to the SJCAM SJ10 Pro (yes SJCAM sent me a replacement with the latest firmware). Here is some image samples from both for 4K image quality, FOV (SJCAM wins) Stabilization while riding on my bike. Tell me in the comments, which one did YOU prefer !

SJ better in stabilization and i think will be a better source for post processing. Kudos to both companies for offering options to customers and continue to develop their products.
Brave 7LE for colour rendition, SJ10 Pro for stabalization.
The Akasos image quality, colors look better to me.
The SJ10 has a bit of a flatter color. To “me” the Akaso seems to really crush the blacks.
The Akaso seems to have a blue bias and the SJCam a red bias. Very slight but both look really nice. I notice a very similar difference between the GoPro and Osmo, with the GoPro being ‘bluer’ and the Osmo moe reddish.
I’d love to play around with an Akaso but the don’t make anything with 25 or 50fps which I do prefer to work in, mainlybecause of UK TV.
because the akaso lens is not too wide.
@@WORTHITORNOT agree on that, high contrast no details, as for the EIS/Gyro, the akasos are cropped sj i think has a sensor axis
@@iancraig I noticed to my eyes anyways, the akaso is a bit crispier greens with a green tinge slightly, the sjcam was alot flatter with brighter red/orange tints
Both are great. The Brave seems to be more vibrant, and with a narrower field of view. Thanks for the comparison.

SJCAM contrast needs to be lowered a bit. Akaso looks nice but color is too deep. Grass looks super green and that can't be possible lol. As for stabilization on both look good.
The first 40 seconds of the video told me which one I should get 😂
The sj has better image quality. Better image stabilization. I made a mistake in buying 2 akaso brave 7 le. I thought the image stabilization and the video quality of 2.7k and 1080 can be fixed by firmware update. Looks like akaso is not good in giving firmware updates as feedbacks from aquintances who has other akaso action cams.
SJ is better is wider the colours are true to life, also it has a lil bit better dynamic range and is a lil bit sharper. Definetly they improved this one, i like it how it looks.
I will choose Brave 7 LE bcoz its Half the price of SJ cam. And performing almost equal. I order it 5 minutes ago. Will recieve it in 3-4 days. Excited.

Love the high tech side by side mounting solution. I saw you holding what looked like a piece of wood but it flashed on and off too quickly for me. Rewinding and pause showed me everything I needed to know to make these high tech mounts myself. At first I thought it was 4 small cameras. 😂😲

akaso products work well in bright places but weak in dark places
The sjcam product comes out well in dark places, but the image is red.
Yeah the color science between all these different manufactures are so different.
Everyone has their own perception of color. So both cameras are good in their own way. 👍

Wow, no contest for bicycle use. SJ10 Pro destroyed the Brave 7 LE. It's 1000% smoother without stutters or jumps. It's also much sharper and wider. I wonder does the Gamsod compare with the SJ10 Pro for image stabilization for bicycles use???
They are pretty close with the slight edge going to the SJ10 Pro

I'd love to see the Gamsod and Hero 8 compared on stabilization for bicycle use at 1080 and 4k while you are talking using the external lav mic for the Gamsod and internal mic on the Hero 8. Is this something you could throw a quick short together for? I'm at the point that I've all but decided against the budget competitors since they all seem to come with serious shortcomings but the image quality in the very slow moving shots you show in the Gamsod review (where you debunk the 6k as upscalled 4k) impressed me enough to offer a glimmer of hope for the Gamsod to save me almost $200 over a Hero 8 with additional accessories that i'll need to buy separately to match what is included with the Gamsod. Thanks again for all the great attention to detail in your reviews.

Anyone noticed the Akaso images "sticking" during tight turns?
It definitely does not like sudden pan movements
Eis on sjcam is superior to the akaso. But the
Color is much better on the akaso cam
i think SJ10 color profile is on the flat side to accomodate for color grading?
The Akaso ' s colours were very strong but interesting,the Sj appeared pastel like next to the Akaso, but,probably more ' natural', Oh & thanks for the nature doc, of the Bumblebee.

That Akasos is pretty nice! SJ10 Pro is butter smooth, but Akasos does seem to be more vibrant.
Agree'd, the SJ10 could definitely benefit from some added saturation/color grading.
I'm still using the SJ7 Star LOL! Both cameras are great but the colors on the Akaso seemed a bit oversaturated & the SJCAM more natural but a bit of yellow tint in the footage. SJCAM seems to have better stabilization. it's a coin toss up. I would happy be happy to have either camera. Great video! I Love your channel.

The 7LE looks like it leans blue and the SJ10 Pro leans towards the yellow side. Viewing the images on-screen of the shirt you wore, which camera has better accuracy? Did you or do you have plans for any 1080 at 60 comparison? Thanks for all the work you put in to these videos. They are extremely helpful to us out in youtube land.
vibrant color for akaso but i choose sjcam all day , aside from the much better field of view its much stable. besides i can have the same vibrance of akaso once i post processed the clip from sj10 pro. thanks sir!

Good test, TBH Sj10 pro is slighty better in every way especially for fov and waterproofness big difference sj10 pro= 10m akaso ipx7=1m for color depends on your own preferences.. also I've seen some very detailed Russian reviews of sj10 pro and it's almost as good as the hero 8 on low light image stabilization. Hope sjcam will more improve this camera over time

Yeah each camera company has their own color science much like larger cameras like Sony & Canon.

Sorry, just short question about V50 SE. When I do FHD 30/60 fps, still get quality like 720 hd. Did you have same problem using this camera? Thank you for your job, Andre! I enjoy your channel for years.
I have not had any issue with mine at all in 1080 30/60 fps and even posted a video about it.

Akaso brave 7 LE is far more better than sjcam in color aspect. But a little bit unstabilize than sjcam. I go for akaso brave 7 which i have now. Thanks

Also, between SJ8PRO and SJ10pro which one would you go for? Keeping in mind the price difference.
Yes SJCAM sent me out a new replacement SJ10 Pro and this one seems better. For me, I would still choose the SJ8 Pro, but that's just my opinion

How long can you record 4K video with a 64bg since the akaso brave 7le says the highest is 64gb or can I do a 128 gb?
If the company says 64GB is the maximum card, stick to what the manufacture says ! It records at 52Mbps in 4K so you can do the math as to how long it can record

Brave color is too saturated. But the price is right.
You can always lower the saturation in editing. Good little camera
SJ video quality is better than Akasa. But over all Akasa is good.
