- In the 150 year history of Suez Canal, it is the first time that a blockade like this has happened. Why did the Ever Given ship get stuck in the Suez Canal and what is being done to take it out? I explain all this in this video and the importance of Suez and Panama canals in the global trade today. I also explain why ship traffic is stuck behind the Suez Canal and they have a dilemma. Should they wait it out or should they take the route through the Cape of Good hope in South Africa.
