Charles did not make Diana depressed, she was depressed before they met. She had mental problems likely caused by her unhappy childhood. She tried to kill herself when she was pregnant with William. Bulimia is a physical and mental illness. People with bulimia are moody, irrational, and difficult to live with. I believe Diana's mental health was part of why the marriage failed.

The late Lady Kanga was his favourite mistress and he had several others in addition to Camilla. Camilla just was always available and outlasted them all. Imagine being a 19 year old, never having a boyfriend, and suddenly your world changes in the blink of an eye because a Prince wants to settle down and marry you. He was so much older than her, he took advantage of her naivety and treated her like shit. Diana was not prepared for what was to come, and who can blame her? She was ONLY 19. This was love at first sight for her. She was young, naïve, vulnerable and inexperienced. She was mesmerized and in love with Charles. This poor woman suffered mental trauma for years because of this toxic piece of shit. She developed an eating disorder as her coping mechanism. She was living in a flat (provided by her family) in London with girlfriends in 1980. She was employed cleaning houses, worked as a nanny, and waa a part time assistant kindergarten teacher.

She had mental problems likely caused by her unhappy childhood. She tried to kill herself when she was pregnant with William. Bulimia is a physical and mental illness. People with bulimia are moody, irrational, and difficult to live with. I believe Diana's mental health was part of why the marriage failed.

Even in the interview when Diana was talking about his cheating and other unsavory things, she STILL maintains that he loves his boys and makes time for them like being home for bath time. But it wasn't like that.
Camilla married a very charming man who happened to be a serial womaniser, and never gave up his habit.
Camilla was Charles' friend, and only became his mistress fairly briefly, at the time he was in a state of trauma over the assassination of his uncle, and his role in identifying the three bodies, one of whom was his 13 yr old cousin. Camilla was there for the bad times, rather than the great Romance.
Prior to Charles marriage with Diana he informed her that there had been four women important to him and that he was buying each one a farewell gift.
So the oft-repeated story of the bracelet for Camilla was true......but only 1/4 of the whole story. Repeated by Diana as if it was JUST Camilla, and totally unexpected.
You need to understand two things about Diana- she was an emotionally-neglected child, 3rd daughter of an Earl who NEEDED a boy to replace the one that died. By the time Charles married her, she had a whole string of offensive behaviours behind her, including physical violence to her father, and non-cooperation at school. Charles was told none of this, of course.
The other matter is Diana's bulimia. Everyone knows that she had a ravenous appetite for food, and stuffed herself on Mars Bars and other goodies, only to throw them up. What is less well understood is that she was just as self-indulgent over ATTENTION and SEX. There was NO WAY that Charlie's Mars Bar was going to fill the ravenous pit that was Diana.
Charles tolerate her first incidence of infidelity, but being caught with her security officer while pregnant with Harry was the last straw. He never slept with her again.
After two years, his state of depression caused the friends (who Diana had estranged) to ask Camilla to find out what the problem was. This was 1986, six years into the marriage. Once again, Camilla was there at a time of great personal stress, as Charles had kept quiet about the rift in his marriage, not wanting to embarrass either family. THIS was the beginning of the Romance.
There is NO EVIDENCE that Charles and Camilla were in a relationship between 1979 and 1986.
One of the stories is that Charles was overheard (early in the marriage) in the bathroom talking to Camilla on the phone and saying "What ever happens, I'll always love you." The catch here is that it was not Camilla to whom he was speaking. It was Dale, Lady Tryon, and the context was her ringing to tell her ex-lover that she had Multiple Sclerosis, which puts the statement of love into a very different light.
Diana went from man to man like a ten pound note, cheating on every man who ever showed that he cared long enough to stay around. She treated Mr Hasnat Khan in the most appalling manner.

regardless of how charles is, one thing he has done good is to show his love for his children. he always complained that his parents were not affectionate with him. and how when they were away he waited for them and insted of hugging and kiss him as any parent would do; they would just keep with their queen/prince attitude and were distant. that's why he doesn't hide his love for them. specially when little he hugged them and is not afraid to show his love.

Lil wombat is so cute! I remember watching their wedding and followed all the press about Diana. Idk what she saw in Charles. I always thought he was a dork with huge ears. She could have done so much better. The RF & specifically Charles treated her horribly. It was so easy to see that the press actually started counting the days that they were actually together, not apart. They were miserable and it showed. Such a shame he ruined her life because he NEVER loved her from day one. Diana was a world wide treasure, she’s still loved in 2021 and missed tremendously.
