The PSP Go in 2024 Is Still Amazing

- I bought a used PSP Go for about £80 in relatively good condition and I really liked it, so I made a video on it! I think if you're into small handhelds like the Miyoo Mini, you should keep an eye out for a good deal on one of these. I wanted to show the SD card mod but it's taking a while to arrive, and to be honest it doesn't demonstrate anything other than extra storage -- so I omitted that from the video.

Honestly would recommend one of these if you're interested in playing a bunch of GBA games, that's one of my favourite things about modding this.
So ahead of its time and aged like wine. I hope Sony makes a PSP 2 😂

Also, I agree that the advantage of the PSP Go is its sleek design, along with its ability to play PSP and older Nintendo games so well. I’m going to use it as my primary device for the next while to get the most enjoyment out of it possible. Cheers!
I have a 3DS, Vita, Switch and a PSP Go and the Go has been getting far more use than the others. Some people think the the form factor is uncomfortable but I love it, even for longer play sessions. I love how pocketable it is too I take it with me everywhere I go.
I did the power armor shell (bought from AliExpress) and a brand new vita battery. For me, the bigger shell makes it more comfortable to hold but still keeps the form factor and pocketability. I am also getting 3d printed shoulder buttons that extend out more to fit with the extended backing. All in all I think the power armor/bigger battery mod is a no brainer. Not to mention like 6-8 hours of play time on max brightness and volume.

I agree, I have tried a number of the Ambernic, Miyoo and Pow kitty and the PSP still holds up almost better
My preference is my retroid pocket 3+ for psp . Super compact great screen and long lasting battery. And it fits in my pocket as well as my psp go did .
I would love to see Sony release a version of the Xperia Play with modern Android hardware.
can you make a guide to configure category lite plugins, i'm on 6.61 ark-4 and its always reboot my psp everytime i open game while the plugin is on
The Switch's Cartridge slot is so small, the Switch Go wouldn't be much smaller than the Switch Lite.
Where did you get your stick on dpad?
Hi Alex what do you think of Emulation Station now on Android? Just set up my Odin with it and its amazing
Never really looked into it or thought much about it. I put a bunch of effort into Pegasus and it's my favourite looking frontend so I don't feel the need to switch.

I love the go, the buttons and dpad hold it back, one day I want to swap and mod it all out, I don't really have those skills, I could probably manage it. I had a Slim model too and loved it but it got stolen, I do plan to get another at some point, I kind of like the slim model more, but the go has many things going for it.
Charging port is not usb c, thats a deal breaker

@@jazzfear 29, probably older than you, got my first psp back in 2006, im just saying the charging port is not usbc nor micro usb, its using its own just like psv 1000 model, thats the reason why i prefer 2000 model ovrer the 1000 model
