This is good, but an actually accurate 2383 emulation would have been unbeatable. Maybe with scans being delivered as no clip and slightly less saturation and a preset/LUT that would have gotten it to full 2838 contrast and saturation. You new color science is definitely an improvement but it’s still only an imitation the idea of a 2383 LUT. I’ve seen a few movies photochemically printed and projected on 2383 and it’s breathtaking. This is just pretty good.
And can you please stop with the resolution bating. It’s just sad. Resolution is an unimportant part of the image chain nowadays, for over 90% of image makers.

Brudi chill doch bitte kurz. Kein Scanner der Welt schafft es, den Look einer echten Positiv Kopie abzubilden. Letztlich sind es doch alles Interpretationen…der Frontier interpretiert das Negativ auf seine Weise, der Noritsu auf eine andere Art und Weise. Lass die Jungsbune Mädels von Silbersalz doch ihre Bilder auf ihre Art und Weise interpretieren? Und ob du die volle Auflösung eines solchen Scans benötigst, kannst du ja auch selbst entscheiden…
