From Manila, we drove 3 hours to Mariveles, Bataan - the jump off point (and only point of access) to get to Corregidor Island since the Ferry and tours operator from Manila shut down operations in 2020. It was eye opening and truly humbling to be at the site where history was made. The cost of war is high and the people’s blood is the price. May this never happen to the Philippines ever again.
