*Updated 2023 comparison:* czcams.com/video/hfp8OTJedTE/video.html I wanted to put an update here on some information I received from Surfshark. They reached out and let me know that they have merged with Nord Security, they were not “acquired” by Nord Security. The main difference here is that they’re coming together as equal entities to continue competing in the VPN market, but they are combining resources to fight back against Kape and other conglomerates. At the end of the day, the two companies are still now under the same roof, but they asked if I would be able to clarify that it wasn’t an acquisition, it was a merger.
Hey Craylor, I had tried WeVPN (on windows, android TV, IOS) and never had a problem. My speed was as my normal connection. I had 5-10% reduced speeds. Also Netflix in all libraries was working flawlessly without problems. The UI is good looking but it has a few glitches that I hope that will be fixed. I think you should give it a try after a while.
I have a bad experience with surfshark's kill switch. The kill switch does not work most of the time, and the traffic gets exposed. Also, it shows "a problem has been detected with your connection" error a lot of the times. As for the review is concerned, it was a great review, but some things were lacking : 1: kill switch accuracy 2: tor over vpn 3: multihop connections 4: vpn protocols 5: number of devices allowed 6: platforms supported 7: vpn audit 8: logs policy 9: server locations and number of servers 10: torrenting Etc
Great review I feel like it is really honest and thorough. It might be the long hair and studio monitors. But I like the idea of paying monthly.I just want to try a bit torrent client for now so I may go with the mullvad option
I always love your VPN reviews. I'm truly sad that Surf Shark was bought out by Nord. Could you do a video on what email options are out there. Another sad thing to hear about Proton Mail.
Yes, the Proton Mail incident was truly awful. I did make a comparison on encrypted email services, but that was before the Proton Mail scandal. I think it's time for a rematch!
@@Craylor Yes, 👍😯😨 please do email options update review comparison. I currently still have Proton mail, but did try others for a shortime - Belgium & Germany platforms. Thank you!!🇺🇲
Surfshark, NordVPN, and ExpressVPN are still among the best, I am a ExpressVPN user (yeah, I think you know what's up with ExpressVPN and Kape thingy, but it hasn't stopped me from using it). I heard about Proton Mail thing. But Proton Mail is still way better than gmail in comparison. ProtonVPN seems okay, but I do have mixed feelings about Proton, yes, is in a good privacy jurisdiction.
The first VPN I used was PIA. Good speed and had to change a setting for DNS leaks. Torguard was good and perfect settings with installation. SurfShark was absolutely the worst. Slow speeds websites don't load right, videos and streams crash all the time.
Since you were talking about the 5, 9 and 14 eyes Alliances what I'd like to add is that MullvadVPN is based in Sweden, 1 of the 14 eyes alliance members.
I have been using Mullvad in China, I subscribed to Netflix USA and it works, I don't know what you are saying about Mullvad not supporting streaming. If the Netflix subscription is from the USA (or paid by a USA bank account etc) , how can someone switch to another country's content by changing IP geolocation?
This is the best YT video on VPNs out of the first six or so I checked out. I used PIA several years ago and it was quite slow. I used Express after that and it was better, although speed tests were not great these past couple years.
Been watcNice tutorialng your vids for a good few weeks now, learning new sNice tutorialt each day. my worksoftow has improved so much since watcNice tutorialng
Excellent video and clarity, me and my wife decided to get a vpn and now this gave me a better prospective on which one to go for. Thanks and which you the best Craylor 💪!
I've never tested HMA. I'm not a fan of Hotspot Shield. I've tested them in the past, and my experience has been that they are overpriced, have lackluster performance, and aren't the most trustworthy with their privacy policy.
You r just aweso....i was litterly noob in tNice tutorials...u explained it very simply...thanks i will surely go for next parts of tNice tutorials video.. thanks
Thanks so much Craylor! I was one click from purchasing ExpressVPN, then for second opinion I ran into your channel. You defined it all so well that I am impressed with your knowledge. Bravo
Surfshark is a trash VPN. I've been hit with DCMA notices multiple times since using them. When I reached out to their customer service for help, they were seriously one of the worst I've ever dealt with. Prior to this, I had used Nord VPN for years and NEVER had issues. Don't let Surfshark bait you with their cheap prices. You get what you pay for.
I have read reviews that Nordvpn is difficult to stop subscription auto renew and customer support is terrible saying that im really leaning towards them but i hate auto renew options. Ive been using ipvanish for 4 years no issue with that but im thinking there must be better vpn available
worth mentioning is that NordVpn has no native auto-reconnect option. if you combine that with a kill-switch, it can get annoying real quick. the connect on system start function is also a bit... choppy.sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt
yes nord is not freindly we have to turn off and on many time to make some famous sites work some time it log out i have bad experience within one week only chat support is good they try to help
Mullvad. Dealt with the connection block bug myself with nord. PC hesitates connecting during boot as the VPN software runs, blocks the connection because it's unsecured and then can't connect because it's blocked. Not rocket science the issue here...
SurfShark isn't available in my country and the annual cost of NordVPN is kinda high for me. I'm thinking about Atlas VPN, is it any good? I'd love to see your view about it. Thanks
all of memory, so I’d research yourself, but it’s based in the US (bad), has decent speeds from what I’ve heard, claims to not keep data logs but may keep other logs, and is quite affordable. Probably fine if you’re just using it as a tool for public wifi and such, but not ideal if you want to fully protect your privacy.

You said with WeVPN, you got 120+ mbps download speed and complain about trouble streing Netflix, are u serious? In my city, i only get 30-50mbps after connected to WeVPN but i never had any problem whatsoever straming fullhd to 4k content.. I dont get it.

Just to be clear. MULLVAD allows payments in advance for years. I also have no issues streaming internationally.
