I have tested the App Store on the following devices:
iPhone 4s - iOS 5.0.1 - does not work
iPhone 5 - iOS 6.0.1 - does not work
iPhone 5c - iOS 7.0 - app store opens and loads

I noticed this just recently, makes me really sad. I just wanted to re-download a game, but nope. Man, can't wait until they fix it again, or if not, hopefully someone else can.

It stopped working for me on all my iOS 6 devices a few months ago...
I called Apple and they said they discontinued it so they gave me a jailbreak tweak (they didn’t know that it was a jailbreak tweak) that should in fact fix it
I noticed that the iOS 6 appstore and iTunes store doesn't work back when I was on vacation in January so I was sad because I couldn't download some more apps on my iPhone 4s

Yeah, the iOS 6 store hasn’t been working for a little while now. From what I understand, there are 2 different domains for the App Store, an old one and a newer one. The old one has been fully deprecated at this point, but there are ways to direct older versions of the store to the new one if you are jailbroken.

Same, pre-iOS 9 App Store stopped working for me in January.
I know the iTunes 11 (pre redesign) store has straight up quit functioning- even auto logged me out of the store :(

You can still restore the app store using tweaks. But it's not ideal.
I've had this happen to me back in january. such a shame how this happened again when I tried installing a game on an iphone 3gs. at least the app store is still accessible on my iphone 4 running ios 7

I use Veteris on my iPad 1, and it works really well. Mine is jailbroken, so Discord, Reddit, and CZcams work…on iOS 5 😄

I knew about this since a few months ago. Ive tried to install something onto my 3gs and i couldn't open the store because it had that error. That was a week after the store got fixed
My iphone 4s is jailbroken so i can download pretty much any ios 6 app. Still sad to see the app store go down.

In addition to my iPhone I daily drive a 5th gen touch on 6.1.3 can’t install apps or anything music or video from iTunes.
You should update it to iOS 9 instead. You could actually do a lot more with it that way.

As of 2023 android 4.4 had a working store, but I suppose it's based off most androids don't get as many major updates as ios defices
Fun fact: Android 4.0 still has a working Playstore too
Because play store is still updating on Android 4, if you run old version and it won’t work

News: iOS 7 is also bricked exactly the same as iOS 6, I just discovered it when I was just using my iPhone 4, I did try to download from the updates section, still no use, weather doesn’t work along with stocks, It’s sad to see this, but I feel that iOS 9 is next

iPhone 3GS ios 6.1.6, no JB, apps downloaded with Apple ID are crashing on startup all of a sudden. Is it related to the App Store going down? Anyone has the same issue?

the Apple always finds a way to end everything, I never understood the fact that it doesn't allow you to downgrade to an old version even though you own the device, also several apps stopped working on iOS 6,7, and 8 such as Netflix, Spotify, and several others so bad.

You know what doesn’t work on iOS 6? Find My. My other devices ignore my iPod touch and so does Find My on the device (it’s not able to complete sign in)

It’s fine if you jailbreak it, I got an iPad 2 last year to keep as a collection, I jailbroke it and nothing bad has happened whatsoever and it’s still running fine

man there's no way these phones are over a decade old... it still feels so fresh in my mind that the iPhone was the biggest leap in technology..
