    That would fit perfectly into my land clearing operations. I run a 973C right now.

    Great video - just another reason it's the best machine on the site. Cheers and stay safe

    Hi Ben, another nice one. With what that CAT is doing, (together with the 'ripper' on the back I'm surprised the tracks don't have 'grousers' on them to give him a better grip. No 'UXB's' from WW2 found yet.? - All of you Keep Safe .... Chris.

      There must be a lot of WWII dangerous relicts in the ground around the airport. I do not know if they found there anything. When they had built the exhibition area they found some bombs, etc in the field.

    With my maximum rispect to all CAT products, this 963 ng does a very hard work, where the Volvo hasn't so much breaking force on arm and bucket.
    But i am an old poor mechanic, pcontinuos to prefer the old 955 L with HD chains , D 6 C type , double bars HD shoes.
    See the Volvo excavator work in the same channel where works the 963 is very ridicolus !1
    And is an excavator !

      I really love the 955L series from CAT. Think H was also great or isn't?

      Hi, all old CAT crawler dozers and loaders were good machines, except the first series of 931, with 3 speeds in forward and 1 reverse.
      All 955 were goods machines, from 955 C with mechanical clutch and gearbox, 3 speed in forwand and reverse, many aarived , used , from USA, with pony gasoline start engines;
      the 955 F , with bath main mechanical clutch, mechanical inversor, mechanical 4 speeds gears box;
      the 955 H was in 2 versions; the older with 3 sppeds power shift, steering levers and brakes pedals; the second with steering clutches and brakes by pedals.
      The first 955 k had many engine liners problems: the electrolysis chemical reaction to the electrics currents, from water running, plus the lower CAT 3304 DI liners thickness , many times corroded the liners and the engine block where the liners , in the lower sides, on the top of the crankshaft,
      so, you will find water in the oil pan and mixed with it.
      Cat put the water filter and the CAT antifreeze liquid, the problems decrease, but the really motive was this.
      The 955 L was better, expecially the last, with ROPS CAB and HD undercarriage.
      IN ALL CASES, ALL CATS WERE THE BEST CRAWLER LOADERS IN THE MARKET.
      941 / 951 B and C; 955 K and L; 977 K and L : 4 working hours of 2 mechanics for dismantled the engine from the loader
      FIAT FL 10 B and C ; FL 14 B , C and D : 1, 5 until 2 days for dismantled the engine from the loader
      ( when haven't screws problems )
      Komatsu depends from the models, in all cases, 1 days minimum , ( with 2 skilled mechanics ).
      NO COMMENTS !!!
      PS: your famous CAT 963 NG operator knows that has, behind , the ripper ?
      What has it for what ? As counterweight ???
      If used the ripper from broken the hard clay where excavating the channel, by 3 shanks ripper, the loaders would have worked better !!
      AS I CONTINUOS SAID, THIS OPERATOR IS GOOD FOR YOUR VIDEOS, but isn't so much skilled on the crawler loaders working.
      IMAGE THAT HE HAD TO USE A 955 C ???
      BYE

      @@ferdinandocappelletti6740 I also like the old Liebherr LR631 so many of them are aging but still going very strong. We had a guy here that asked for information about the machine and parts to repair one that caught fire because it was parked in a shed that burned down. Our Mecanic is young girl, who didnt know too much about this old loader, (we have 3 of them today) so she called our retired mecanic, he didnt know anything more because, he never ever had to really take one appart because in the many years we run them, we never had a major breakdown. Appart from normal track wear, hydraulic zylinders damaged on site or so. Except from the noise level in the cab, and poor heating/no or third party fixed AC, i really dont know what should be improved on that machines from about 30years ago, power, fuel consumption, visibility everything is great.
