For those with questions about its usefulness: it’s more for admins of large groups. I use it for my study association. That way there is a nice way to organize the association for our board
Can everyone in the community see the groups? And if yes, are all community members able to see group threads or do they have to be invited into the group to view its conversations?
Sounds like Discord Servers but mediocre, I am still hoping that they will add a feature where I can hide my mobile number so that I can join community without getting multiple strangers call prank.
I don't think it is unnecessary. I think you just have not found the use for it. My company has branches and I think it would make sense to have a community
Yeah I feel like it doesn’t have much personal use, however business use for positions like district managers needing to communicate with many subdivided groups may find it’s convenient.
While we add multiple groups to a community, looks like it create a community head to those group members whatsapp as well that exposes the group members unnecessarily..
How do you create a community where only the admin can comment and all of the members are anonymous? I want to set up a community of announcements only...
Yes, every sub group member gets added to the announcement group. Once you create invite for community and then they will view all the groups that are under that Community and request to join them, just tap on group name > Request to Join.

Only admins can send messages in the announcements group to notify all team members. Admins can create a Community with up to 50 groups, which can have up to 2,000 members .

Hi, - Open WhatsApp application on your android or I-phone - Now click on the 3 vertical dots on the top right side of your screen - Now from these options, select settings - Now select Account option - And now you have to select Privacy option in WhatsApp - When you are on a Privacy page, you will see About option, click on it - In About Option you will get 3 options - You can choose nobody, this will hide your number.

Doesnt answer what the members see. I created a community of groups then quicky deleted it when I found out members form each group could see the other groups. It should only be a change for community admins and no change from group members side.
Hey, When you deactivate a community, all the groups you and other members belong to will be disconnected from the community. These groups will still exist, and can be found in the Chats tab.
Open WhatsApp on all groups and press your intended Group and look above three icons will appear, including pin at the left. Press the pin and the Group will be pinned.

It's simple! Just can change the group message settings to Admin Only.

Yes, every sub group member gets added to the announcement group.

To stop random people from adding you to communities on WhatsApp, adjust your privacy settings to only allow your contacts to add you.

When you deactivate a community, all the groups you and other members belong to will be disconnected from the community. These groups will still exist, and can be found in the Chats tab.
