    We bought our Kodiak Canvas tent from you 4 years ago and quickly added Groundgrabba stakes for a faster setup. Yes, pulling out a small impact wrench during setup is unconventional, but it saves time, energy AND is safer for the tent. When you invest this much in a tent, go the extra mile. BTW, we have 7 tents and 4 shelters from many premium brands; I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another Kodiak Canvas tent. Can’t beat the comfort of canvas and the value of this brand with your service.

    Pro tip! Replace all the stakes with 10” lag bolts and washers and bring a cordless drill with the correct size socket and you will make life much easier. No more pounding stakes and the lag bolts will drive in to hard rocky soil with ease, when stakes don’t. I’d say it could cut 15+ minutes off set up time. Plus, they penetrate more and hold better when the ground gets wet and you get wind. Love all your reviews! I have the 12x12 with the enclosed awning and seriously considering selling it for this, just for that increased room inside the tent for the long remote hunts.

    Do I need any extra accessories to set up the wood stove? Also does it bring an extra layer for the roof if wanted? Tks we are getting one!😍

      To set up the wood stove you'll need a stove mat. www.competitiveedgeproducts.com/1577-Kodiak-54-inch-Stove-Mat-Heat-Shield_p_3221.html
      There's also accessories that are optional with the Colorado Spruce Cylinder Stove we recommend. www.competitiveedgeproducts.com/spruce-stove-package.html

    Hi, for the add on rooms, can you get the two with unopened floors?

    • @Competitiveedgeproducts
      @Competitiveedgeproducts  Před měsícem

      The add-on rooms do not have a floor option. They are all floorless so that gear, pets, cooking stuff, can be kept in there without a need to protect the floor. That being said, a lot of customers (myself included) sometimes lay down a tarp for a temporary floor.

    Roughly how long did it take to put this up by yourself?

    • @Competitiveedgeproducts
      @Competitiveedgeproducts  Před rokem +1

      Good question. It's so hard to say, because I had to do it a specific way for the video, adjust the camera's, stop and take still photos along the way. Each time I've set it up since it has involved one or two other family members and it pretty quick. I'd say by myself I would expect it to take about 30 minutes (the first time always takes longer as you learn how to set it up). I would also say another 30 minutes for the two awnings. I'm so much faster at setting those up since the first time.

    You people need to show us how durable these tents are in high winds and severe thunderstorms this is what I want to see before I buy

      He had one set up for like 4 months in rain and snow with some high winds I believe it was the 12x12 tent it held up really well

    • @Competitiveedgeproducts
      @Competitiveedgeproducts  Před rokem

      The 12x12 4 month demo shows it in 45 mph winds, some heavy snow, below zero temps. That’s model 6170. If you search that you’ll find it pretty quickly.
