- Last year 23 Premier League footballers left the UK to play in Saudi Arabia - and more are expected to go next season.
Last summer, Aleksandar Mitrovic and Ruben Neves left Fulham and Wolves to play for Riyadh's Al Hilal.
They spoke to Sky's Jacquie Beltrao about the switch, admitting that although it is a "different culture" they have a better work-life balance.

Obscene money, better work life balance, zero crime, zero tax, plus no additional English media bullshit. No wonder these guys are happy.
Spot on.
FACTS Rahul, facts

Just a shame the league is such a low quality
@@sportlov12 so ? whats the problem ? its like saying a broke person is such a low quality for trying to get better lol ur just hating at this point mate
400k a week. We will never say that much in our lives
Slower pace of lifestyle and slower pace league
@@ravd8082 hah nice one
Remember that Mbappe used to get 1.3M a week in PSG.

Work less and get paid more. Who would've thought they'd be happy.
Less crime and woke nonsense too
@@PessiFlopOfPsg ye
I don’t know about working less mate. Check how many times Al hilal plays there every year
@@bodz9408Still way less than any premier league clubs. Good god why does the english league has two different domestic cup is beyond me.
Remember when Mitrovic forced a transfer out of fulham saying its an opportunity for him to make money for his family, glad he's enjoying himself, players and managers don't go to England for their good weather or Fish and chips, its for the money compared to other european leagues
Hiw much was he earning at fulham? He wasn't just beneath the breadline, was he!?
@@stefjevtic earn better. Come on use common sense.
And also pl being the biggest league in the world
Outrageous tax free earnings, zero crime, a completely chilled out lifestyle, other filthy rich Gulf States on their doorstep, butlers, cooks, cleaners, gardeners, chauffeur's. Fantastic infrastructure, brilliant healthcare and educational facilities. Living a life of Riley. These guy's are absolutely loving it in Saudi Arabia!
well we'll see how long they'll stick it out in this paradise of a place
please move there with them, signed, the british public
No crime, no taxes, doctors/dentists appointment straight away, great modern schools, plenty of job opportunities clean environment, less paparazzi, better weather, better food, of course lifestyles better
And she says “the players are treated well”. They are experiencing the Saudi culture of respect, appreciation, and hospitality. We love them and appreciate them, and we love that they appreciate us and respect our culture in return.
No crime, yeh because of totalitarianism built on religious dogma or rather fundamentalism.
better weather and cleaner environment is a stretch. forest > desert.
What about women rights? are women allowed to drive?
@@MysticMango412 yes they are, move on to the next question.

This is nothing to do with money at all.... it's all the lifestyle, of course.

It's also worth noting that Fulham players teased Mitrović as being the only one who had a 9-5 job in the club, because of the amount of extra work he did.
What really buffles me is people saying players shouldn't go there. Right, if I was a player I would go 🏃♂️

Alhamdulillah some player have players have come open to say the goodness of Saudi football.

That a dream life to be fair .
I think each player has a special circumstances and personal preferences. To enjoy the experience, it depends on many factors.
Attracting famous players was one of the most successful decisions made by Saudi football league. The results of this move have reflected on many sectors at the same time
Money is the artery of life
صياح الغرب طررررببب 🫡
I'm confused.. What made her mention Salah & not some other player instead?😢
Because Salah might leave and some Saudi clubs are interested in signing him
because Salah is extremely popular among fans in the Arab-sphere
Lower tax rates anyone…
I wonder how much the boys are getting paid to say this 😅😅
They took the easy way out
Better work life balance? He’s definitely taking the piss
Strange news segment. The choice of timing is odd, the lack of critique or angles comes across as a promo video, and not really anything added to what we already know. Maybe the Sky interviewers wanted an excuse to go to Saudi on the free.
I dont blame them tbf, no tax and also away from the dramatic English media lol, good for them
Has anyone seen the schedule of any premier league team? And they don’t even have to be a top-5 team. Any team in the premier league has a very busy schedule. These guys are playing likely one third of the games and yet making the same or more money. Yep I’d be happy too
Mitrovic played 43 matches this season with his Saudi team despite missing 6 weeks with an injury. Last season he played 28 for Fulham. if he plays every game for fulham he would likely reach less than 45. So no, there’s no difference in workload
@@M7ammdIANot in the amount of matches but rather the intensity.
400.000 a week ? This shouldnt be happening for kicking a leather ball of air.
But politicians can make hundreds of millions for screwing the rest of society?
CAPITILISM
American spotted
Why not? Let them spend.
Then again nobody seems to care about how most foreign workers are treated in Saudi. As long as the rich people are doing fine it must be paradise, right?
"Everyone has a price" :)
I bet! Half the work and 10x the money. Be silly to say no!
before 2004 english preimer leauge was like saudi profossional leauge nowadays , thats it
When Mitrovic said that “a lot of players ask me how to come here”, football is dead bro…
It's fun to see Britons barking, talking about money as if their league could exist without money.
Wait until the next summer transfer
Leicester won the premier league without any a list players it can exist without money
@@ravd8082sure, and man city win it in last 4 years without money
The factory is always better than its customers! Therefore, Europe and South America should not be jealous 🤣
Better than MLS
Look at the comment section.
we now live in a society where the public would pity serial killers and find excuses for their crime, but go up in rage to criticize a foreign footballer who chose to live his life the way he wants in legal ways.
Easy goals and lots of money, what’s not to like 😂
If it's so easy, why is Ronaldo still struggling to win his first trophy since joining the Saudi League?
@@Adel-World Because there are basically just two ok teams and he can't even beat the other one. He beat the goal record in a season at 39, that says it all. The other 16 teams are bad, some even horrible, there is no intensity and the defenses are a joke. I have watched a lot of games because in France, canal+ have the rights and I definitely do not agree with Ronaldo that the SPL is already better than Ligue1. Maybe in two, or three years if they keep buying everyone.
@@Adel-WorldHe already won a trophy
@@mockinghyena960 He won the Arab Cup, which is a pre-season trophy, not an official one. The official trophies are the Saudi League, King Cup, Super Cup, and Asian Cup.
@@Adel-World Winning a trophy is a collective achievement that requires the entire team to perform, not just 1 player. Ronaldo is doing extremely well individually and breaking records. No offence but your comment is pure cluelessness and idiotic to say the least.
They all went to that league for the money let’s be honest
As if they were playing before for charity in the premier league or whatever league it was !!!!
Ronaldo and family are walking a freely without security that’s conclusion
Why KSA is not building WSL.
they already have a women league.
400k a week of course I will make that balance
The league is developing and will be over time a competitor to the best leagues in the world. As for the critics, just leave them barking and crying, no one cares about them
It will never be a competitor.
never.
mitrovich gets paid 400k a week??? dayum
All the Westerners will be angry over this😂😂
Why would westerners care for players who have passed the peak of their careers playing football in a farmer's/camel rider's league?
I can’t really say that they are living in Saudi . It’s possible to live in Saudi and never interact with Saudi Arabia . Live in a compound . Fly out of Riyadh , only interact with friends and family , never go to the mosque . Eat your own food , Riyadh is a terrible city on every level. These guys have never visited 95 percent of the city

Not true footballers, money footballers
Tbf why would a Serbian player bleed for Fulham or a Portuguese footballer bleed for Wolves? Most players in the prem are money footballers.

Probably both tbh. UK is crap for work life balance. There's more games then any other league with very little in terms of breaks.
Also about work life balance
It's all about the money everywhere even when most players move to the Premier League
💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
Let's see after one or two years of playing in a inferior standard of football and low attendance, maybe earning 400,000 per will compensate for that, but like with LIV Golf they may have a clause in their contract not to criticise anything or negativity.

Are footballers’ wives allowed to drive?
Saudi league 10 times better than premier league and laliga
Yet attendances at saudi league matches are very low.
Saudi domestic football can't even gain popularity in saudi arabia, never mind the outside world.
They’re playing for money not passion the RSL is the real retirement league not the MLS
