Hey thanks for watching! Do you think Brodie will make it onto a lead card? Subscribe now so you don't miss out on our coverage this weekend!
Like, a second round lead card? Unlikely, especially in MPO. I feel like he could compete against 920 rated players, but not 1020 rated players. Rooting for the underdog!
no, just cause he's youtube famous doesn't mean it's cool suddenly. but i see it gives you views so whatever.
Maybe not this season, but I wouldn't be too surprised if I was wrong. More likely in future seasons.
I don’t think so, but I’m hoping for him
no. not this tournament.
One thing about Brodie: He is really, really good at discussing disc golf with the experienced pros for the sake of others. He asks good questions. He probes. He brings out their wisdom for the rest of us. I've probably enjoyed that over the last couple of months more than anything.
Jeremy Burch agreed!
I agree but it drives me crazy when he talks over paul or cuts him off. Like this is the best player in the world and you're gonna keep talking over him while he's trying to teach you?
Yeah he definitely has that social/communication/presenter thing on lock. I could see him being really good on commentary in a few years.
Which is why, like him or hate him, he's good for the sport. He shines a bright spotlight on disc golf. As far as the talking over Paul, he and Paul seem to have developed an actual friendship so it's just two friends chatting. Might also have an ADD/ADHD element going on...
+1, well spoken
Please do more of this. Just got to the 6:20 mark and I’m listening to Paul describe how to approach your throw on uphill lies, by coming in at an angle instead of straight on so your hips are already turned. THAT INFO IS GOLD!!
jason porter agreed, I learned a lot of this type of stuff, especially planning for your mistakes...
Such a good tip
I struggle so much on up hill shots. I'm going to use this tip.
Great observation
brodie and mcbeth have been practicing for months, check his channel for more tips from Paul
"Well, you pretty much have no shot here." *CHAINS* "...Well, of course, you're Paul McBeth."
Absolute gold.
"There goes my perfect round" -Paul McBeth being serious, everyone else as a joke
Dont hate on Brodie guys. I wasn't into the trick shot stuff he did but he brought light to disc golf for me and got me to start entering tournaments and having fun. I'm really enjoying learning about this sport and hes what brought me to Jomez..Take care golfers
Nobody here is hating on Brodie
heh...we all hope he shreds it, but I also know that new players thrown into the deep end nearly always get influenced by what their card mates do; he'll probably try to throw a McBeth line or two, and end up with a double bogey or three.
It's great to see, and I hope he sticks to *HIS* game and has a blast!
@@Peterisheree It wasn't a specific jab..Hes gonna be on one of the feature cards and I know alot of guys have been doing this a long time trying to get on a featured card. It would be kind of shitty for Brody to just walk on one so early....So I guess hes getting a little bit of shit for it from other players. Which is kind of understandable
@@JessCat606 Yeah that could happen. Might be apart of the learning process though too. Either way it goes it's gonna be fun to watch. I think hes somewhat use to the pressure from ultimate but it's probably a different kind when it's all eyes on you rather than a team effort
I have learned a lot watching this. Paul is a fountain of wisdom for me , he is a thinking mans golfer
Time to print the McBeth “I like dead fish” shirts.
Disc golf quote of 2020: "I like dead fish, just sayin'" . Me too, Paul!
🤣🤣
hilarious, Paul!
Also "I wanna get high..."
Haha
20 min in and I've already learned so much from just listening to their discussions. Such great content!
100% agree. The frank conversation between the GOAT of a sport and someone trying to improve is extremely helpful in understanding some of the high level thought that Paul has. Please keep doing this Jomez, wonderful idea.
Seeing the nuance in Paul's tips on this practice round really show why he is so good. He really thinks through all the variables. The vibe of this video is so cool, too. Never seen Paul so relaxed. He's just chillin out there.
well he's the top of his craft, with no audience around and no pressure. completely in his element
55 minutes? praise be to Jomez
I thought the same thing!
I’m not an idol worshipper
55 minutes of Brodie asking the questions I'm thinking when I watch Paul play... this is fucking gold.
lol, that last putt from Paul. Brodie gets how the rest of us feel when watching Paul haha
My favorite part on Brody joining the disc golf scene and getting covered is he is far more relatable than the top pros. It gives me more of a look as to what it would be like to play with them(even though Brody is still probably better than me and most average players). I especially like this practice round theme with Macbeth! Well done JomezPro
I've been a huge fan of brodie smith since his days at UF. And I've been watching jomez for about 2 years now. Seeing these 2 come together is awesome for me.
Fully agree!
Ben Eighinger same here, really seems like paul is taking Brodie under his wing and they’re becoming friends which is so cool to see
Watching this, I’m learning so much about Paul and how he makes decisions. This video is priceless
Jomez camera crew with the quick feet.
"I like dead fish...." - Quote of the year.
"I'm just sayin..."
I snickered!
Can't wait to see how he performs. Looks like he has the right attitude, and is obviously working with the right people to up his game.
I've been a casual player for a very long time. I get so much good info out of the Paul and Brodie discussions and my game has improved by multiple strokes because of them. I must confess that I was not a fan of the old, loud Brodie but he's changed for the better and I feel like, ultimately (no pun intended) he will be good for the game because of the attention he is bringing to it.
Would love to see some more of these with two different disc golfers each episode... Like a practice round where they discuss their gameplans & such with Big Jerm & Sexton or Eric Oakley & Simon etc etc
Simon has his own channel where he did this with Eagle and Calvin. Not as much teaching because they're all amazing but still a fun watch
I felt like I was playing these 9 holes with Paul and he was helping out my game... and it didn't cost me anything? What? Jomez, you guys rock!!
Paul and Brodie is the kind of Buddy Cop movie I'm here for!
10:05 "gotta dry off another one..." had me rolling!
When Brodie gets a season under his belt, I can’t imagine how far he’s going to be juicing drives. His power potential is nuts on both forehands and backhands
Yeah... well power isn't everything just like in real golf its all about finesse and control!! And Brodie seems like he could be a decent player eventually but to get to the pro level he needs a lot of work...You don't just get the equipment, dress the part and befriend the top pro players to become a pro, you should play for a few years and see how good you become and if you're good enough then try to be pro.
@@HelpfulOne21 back to back top 25’s to start the season.
It's so incredible watching someone with so much talent they far exceed their experience level. Brodie can throw so well already, but he hasn't played long enough to make a habit of cleaning his disc or other small "common sense" things like that. He will be a weapon if he sticks with Disc Golf.
What Paul saying at 37:42 about cleaning and checking disc before throw, I do that same thing. But otherwise I don't clean disc if not necessery.
He’s got a looooong way to go. Hope he gets there but it’s gonna be eye opening for him in the tourney.
Shoutout to Paul the guy is a pro's pro and a genuine ambassador for the sport
pizza4life Agreed, he’s a class act.
@brodiesmith21 It must be nice having Paul playing practice rounds with you right before your first tournament. His advice is pure gold. Definitely discuss with Kelsey what might be a thoughtful gift to give Paul.
Bad comment.
When you have Macbeth as your personal coach you can only expect good things 👍👍 keep it up bros
Are you saying only Brodie can sit on him? I don't think Hannah would be happy.
@@Peterisheree lol. Just noticed I spelled that wrong lol
@@coffinsmoke1385 haha had to make fun. Keep slangin them discs broski
@@Peterisheree you too. 👍👍
When you are already a famous ultimate player you can expect to be good at disc golf right off the bat.
Really enjoyed Paul’s “plan your misses” comment!
Paul has gotten so damn good with media, especially since him & Brodie started doing videos together. It's offering some amazing insight into the sport & the mind of the GOAT. 🐐
Loved this, favorite part at the end:
*obstructed in the woods*
"It doesn't look like you've got much of shot there"
*makes it from a knee*
"But then again, you're Paul McBeth."
This is the collab we've all been waiting for
😅😅
If you’d been watching Brodie and Macbeth’s channels, you’d have seen about 10 of these colabs already!!
@@skettles3151 on no I meant those guys and Jomez. I called it on Brodies like 2nd video lol
Fantastic! I love this "fly on the wall" long form type content. You can really see Paul's (and Brodie's) thought process in preparing for the tournament.
Best quote ever: "well I have a GOOD HAMMER! What the yeck?"
Brodie's like, do you not know I have 4 US championships in Ultimate? what the yeck!
Cant wait to see this live card and see how Brodie plays
Dude, this content is the shizznit man. I think a mic-ed up round would be awesome. Similar to how NFL does it.
I feel so bad for Paul whenever Brodie talks over him. Paul is offering some of the best, most valuable insight available. Most disc golfers would be humbled to have the opportunity to learn from 5x. Even though it may be unintentional, it is still disrespectful. Props to Paul for being so patient! 🐐
*Paul Sneezes*
Me: anyone gonna say bless you??
I don't know why that bothers me so much, he even said excuse me😂
Have you guys got new cameras or something because the video quality is better/smoother than ever!
I learned so much from this and I'm not even playing disc golf right now. The wisdom that Brodie pulls out of Paul is worth him being featured alone.
OMG the pro tips are GOLD! Uphill run ups are so hard.
Amazing how technically solid and tactically smart Paul is. Incredible talent.
This one of the real nice video, jomez did a great job . Listening in with being able to hear them talk. Plus Paul teaching the way to think about playing for tournaments.
I’m be honest here... When I first got introduced to this sport, it was through some trick shots that BroFive had done when they were a thing. And on the side where the videos are, I saw JomezPro on there and it got me intrigued and interested. So, I saw some videos and at first glance, I didn’t like Paul’s vibe for some reason don’t know why. But those were on tournaments only. I hated how he would win every tournament lmao. Maybe it’s because he’s more focused and all that. But I wanted to give it some time to give him a chance for me to like him. So, then after seeing him in these videos with Brodie on his channel, I started seeing his personality a bit more and in all honesty, I’ve turned to like him now. So, Paul, if you see this comment by any chance, hope everything goes well in this tourney and in future ones. Brodie, as for you, just keep doing you bro. I’m sure you’ve been an inspiration to many with the change of paths sort of speak into disc golfing. Hope everything goes well for you as you hope and plan, and may God bless the both of you. 🙌🏻🙏🏻 Thanks JomezPro for all the content you guys put out. Some of the best I’ve seen here on CZcams. 👌🏻
I'm loving the 60fps!
This. This is the gold standard of Jomez. This is a way forward that is bulletproof, unique, and exceptional.
Brodie’s progress has been impressive. These videos of him and Paul are pretty special, in hindsight.
52:52 classic - “And then again, you’re Paul McBeth”
I think people take for granted how good jomezpro camera guys are at getting good angles. It's so smooth to watch you really dont think about it and that's what makes them great.
More of this! Such a great video! 💪
This was easily one of the best videos for course management I have ever watched. Paul is just so insightful about managing your misses... definitely using this tomorrow for league!
Fantastic content! I learned a ton
Perfect situation for Brodie. You couldn’t get a better teacher and mentor. Practice like Mcbeast, you’ll have a great first tournament. Good luck buddy.
This is so good!
so excited to see you guys play
Pretty damn impressive for a disc golf practice round to have 90 thousand views in less than 24 hours. Its good to see so many people have taken an interest in this sport.
Watching Brody Smith with ultimate, then those viral trick shot videos, then the injury and the end of pro ultimate. Then golf and vlogging and now disc golf! Glad to see he combined the two things What a great ambassador for someone just getting back into disc golf.
it's amazing to have the chance to listen to you guys talk through all the shots! thanks a bunch!
This is such amazing behind the scenes stuff! Thanks!
Absolutely love Jomez!
great video more of these please and thank you
Crushing it this year Jomez
Big fan of the new content / collaborations with Brodie. Glad to see him doing disc related things that aren't trick shots, and I think this will be a good way to expose more people to disc golf!
These are the type of videos I love to see
More of this kind of vids. Really educational! I learned alot
This coverage and all the stuff with brodie has been so fun!!
Loved the video! Hopefully more of these types of videos to come
This was so good!!
These type of videos will get amazing reviews as it includes throw instruction plus course management from the best in the world. MORE PLEASE
So much knowledge. Thanks guys
Priceless
McBeth is such a cool dude.
This is so great
Thanks Guys- I learned a ton!
You're doing awesome Brodie! Obviously you're putting in a lot of work in a short period of time. I'm excited to see your results this weekend.
As 900´s player and 10 years of throwing, i think this is the most educational video ever for me. Thank you guys.
I really enjoyed this video. So much here to learn from.
More of these!!
Love the vibes in this video! Would love more of this content from the best in the biz. :)
I'm learning so much of watching Brodie play with McBeast!
This is the type of content that we need and want. Amazing!
Hell yeah Jomez! Never a bad thing putting out extra content
Paul is a genius. There is no debate, the man has a handle on the game that is unmatched in the sport.
Paul is such a legend man.
Can we get this everytime! Love seeing the course and it being explained. Also love seeing the warriors be casual and plan their game.
This is legit. Thanks Jomez!!!
This video was amazing! loved the angles and how crisp it was. Jomez thank you!
I LOVE this kind of video content. Hearing the perspectives of the players in preparation for a big event like this helps us learn how to get better in a practical way. Thanks for this Jomez!
I have watched this video like 10 times and its soo good!
I’m stoked for you. Good luck this weekend.
This type of content is amazing
Really like this idea, hope to see more of this
This is great. Thanks jomez. Thanks Paul and Brodie.
More videos like this. I loved this. Getting to hear their thoughts and throws before a tournament
Probably the most educational disc golf video on the internet. What an amazing video. Keep it coming ya’ll! Thank you for the content Jomez!!
more paul and brodie plez, these are amazing
This is awesome
It’s like playing a practice round w/ Tiger Woods and being able to ask him 9000 questions… Brodie lucky af to be learning from the GOAT!
Listening to them talk course strategy and shot shapes is SO GOOD do more rounds like this with these two & other guys. Learning so much!!!!
