Never seen a pink arbor press before, something new 😊 Some good machining on the ratchet and ram. We refurbished one of our presses and modified the ram so we could use different sized ram heads on it. Good post, well done. 👍

Thanks. Yeah I thought about drilling a hole in the end of the ram, and doing some work for different attachments, but decided against it at the last minute, mostly due to fixturing.

The colour would not be my choice, but you can find it in your shop 😊👍 otherwise it was a fantastic video, and I am looking forward to the next one about this marvelous piece of equipment. Hope you enjoy the press as much as we enjoy your videos. Cheers from Denmark

It's a joy to watch someone do a thorough restoration so well! It came out beautiful! Love the bright and non traditional colors that you paint your machines, goes against the usual aesthetic! Thanks for taking us along!

Well it wouldn't be my first choice for colors, but to each his own. You may not have the biggest or newest machine shop in the country but it is probably the most colorful group of machines in the US. Nice restoration.

So I have to repeat myself.
This is such a very good job.
In your workshop it smokes, slides and rumbles and in the end a finished part comes out.
And that even with old lathe rails or not so new ones. Amazing to me.
    But in pink?

The workmanship and time spent bringing this back to spec was very impressive. I love seeing old Iron rebuilt/restored to be used for further decades. The only question I have is the color choice?

I'm sure you have no aspirations to sell it. I was just thinking it would be worth more if it was painted the original color or something close.@@VanoverMachineAndRepair

Kyle, that was an amazing video about an amazing restoration of an amazing machine! Your dedication to excellent machining practice, your attention to detail and your thoughtful camera work are absolutely delightful. You deserve a lot more subscribers! I remember your shop burned down a couple of years ago and then, somehow, I lost track of you and am really thrilled to have found you again. I grew up south of Chicago on the IL/IN border and that makes me a special fan of yours. Warm greetings and Merry Christmas to you and Monica from Bruce and Karin in Germany.

Got to say that you have an ecclectic choice of colours for your machines. I'm in the conservative light grey, creamy colours and all to match as much as is possible, keeps the workshop looking a bit brighter. But that restoration is a fantastic job, thats going to be a machine that is always useful.

Amazing job!! The attention to detail is fantastic! You should continue to restore old iron, you do an awesome job and always go above and beyond! Loved this video and the choice of music! Excellent job!! Only thing I don't like is the color lol, thank you again for another excellent video my friend, keep em coming!!

Couple of years ago, I watched one of those Eames #6 arbor press sell at auction for about 150 bucks (hammer price, probably close to 200 with fees). At any rate, it was stupid cheap, but I didn't have any way of getting it halfway across the country back to my shop, so I had to be happy it went to someone who was delighted to get it. Still, I have yet to run out of capacity with my Famco 3 1/2 R.

Um... You should either cover or somehow dim the flash of your welding scenes. Yes, I know that a recording of welding flash can't cause flash burn. However, the flashing/strobing of bright light can induce epileptic seizures & migraine headaches in people who suffer from those conditions. Gamers & gaming companies have known about this for decades. You could place a dark filter over the welding flash to be more considerate of your viewers. Just sayin'...
