Thanks for playing my mod, Frogger! Sorry for the Sm64 gods sending you the hardest log obstacle so much, lol. This mod was made for a game-mode competition that only allowed 2-months of development. To make the deadline, I had to release it unfinished and unpolished, so there are a lot of scrapped parts with remnants that stuck around. For example, the promotions were a point system for leveling up your character and give them cosmetics like glasses, a crown, gold sparkle trails, etc etc.. There were also going to be Mario Kart style weapons and powerups, but those might all get added in a future update.
If you still enjoyed it, we have another much higher quality mod on the horizon that should give you some good laughs! If you'd like, I can reach out when it's done :)

Very cool mod, but I think the use of blood ruins it a bit.
@@na-ky8ou Why is that? You're the third person to say that, so I'm just curious on your reasoning so I can maybe make something else around your demographic.
@@Chris.Holcomb It's just my opinion, but I find it really out of touch with the rest of how the game/your mod looks, and there's no reason to have it, really. It's just there to be there, with no actual purpose.
Consequently, it gives this awful vibe of "lol, I put blood in a children's game, because I'm so edgy like that" to an otherwise very competent mod.
(Note: the part in quotations is not meant to be disrespectful or insulting, I'm just trying to illustrate a feeling in the simplest way possible).

50:50 Riki didn't become the Heropon and then have a family, he has a massive family and then was "voluntold" (read, forced at a metaphysical gunpoint) to take the job of Heropon to pay for the fact that he has a massive family.
Also, despite Riki looking like basically a really cuddly plushy, he's easily the oldest of the entire Xenoblade 1 main cast by comparison, even including Dunban (who's the equivalent of being in his late 20's) and Melia (who's pretty much equivalent to being as old as Shulk, Flora, and Reyn.) As a result, he gives some of the most more important advice to everyone else.
...Now that I think about it, he's basically Chilchuk, being the middle aged dude who in relative terms is the oldest member of team.
Melia is actually equivalent to 16 for her race, making her effectively 2 years younger than Shulk, Reyn, and Fiora. This makes her simultaneously the youngest and oldest party member.
@@elliot_rat No, because the game explicitly treats her as a teenager at all times. Despite being a princess, Melia can't even pull rank on Dunban or Sharla without them pulling the "experienced" rank on her.
@@elliot_rat No. The game treats her exactly the age that she appears to be, and that she is according to her people's culture. She happens to be older, only because her people age about 5½ times slower than the others.
If you've got a problem with fantasy races having different lifespans, take it up with Tolkien. It's not inherently some creepy pedophile anime thing.
@@elliot_rat She's mixed race. Homs develop like normal humans while High Entia take a lot longer to develop while also having a longer life span.

Coop DX is a Fork of a Fork of a Fork
Let me Explain
The Original PC Port was Being Developed at Some Point, and Someone took a W.I.P Version and Made a Fork with Higher Modding Flexibility(sm64ex-nightly) (hi res textures are supported for example, and could be applied on the fly, but used to break skyboxes), then there was fork of ex-nightly that implemented multiplayer which is called ex-coop, over time the game got updates, and at some point drama in the backdoors occured and one of the old lead devs made another fork (which is coopdx, as seen in the video), eventually the owner of ex-coop quit, which led to both to merge, still under the name of coopdx
stuff such as gamemodes (gore frogger, flood, hide n seek) and character mods (daisy, megaman, shyguys) are more like actual mods, and they operate on lua, which means you don't need to reinstall the game to apply them, you can download them from a server and even combine them it, if compatible

the onfly texture system from ex-nightly evolved to dynOS overtime (which allows models too)
so you can actually use Render96 and play with people
The only differences is that you won't have the 10 green keys, 6 golden coins, the 4th floor and character movesets from render96ex, but you wilk have models and textures
Not to mention, other players won't be able to see the DynOS you're using, besides yourself

The deal with coopdx tough is that it requires the original rom for assets, so it can't be taken down
The only thing i imagine nintendo targeting is the fact that the trademarks are probaly still present in the game's code or target toad and luigi's models and icons, aside from looking like modified versions of said assets, those are still parts of the mario IPs
However i theorize Nintendo just didn't try taking it down because they implemented sm64 in NSO long ago

To be perfectly honest, I personally don't like proximity voice chat. I like it MUCH better like this when you can hear everyone clearly and evenly (although I'm autistic and that just helps a lot with my auditory processing. Proximity chat with constantly changing volumes makes it MUCH harder for me to be able to process/hear what everyone is saying)

Slightly controversial opinion, but for as waifu-y as Xeno2 is, it's actually pretty cool as long as the voices aren't in English.
I appreciate the accents they put on but dear GOD the line delivery is awkward. It's like the exact opposite of Xeno1 where you can feel how much more better the delivery is in English.
