1. Don't Trace.
2. If Anyone Trace, They Should apologise to the Original Artist, Not Everyone.
3. Not everyone Steals. Just because someone saw a Person tracing, They shouldn't assume others Trace too, Without Finding any proof. It Will offend the Aritsts if they actually worked hard on it. (It's very common, People start accusing of Tracing without any proof)

Oml I’ve been waiting for someone to say this
Omg ... Third

Putting this here too.
General reminder that posting videos like this without crediting the original artist is just as bad as tracing.
Showcasing traced art you made by tracing it yourself for an example also falls under theft as you are posting art that was traced, even if it's for an example.
They be having a private investigation 💀

But tracing is worse than it seems. You spend several minutes or even hours on a drawing and then somebody steals it and says it’s theirs, all that hard work down the drain.

I see a lot of people on tiktok who've begun tracing AI and just coloring it in and it's always super obvious that it's AI since a lot of parts don't make sense (at least to an artist it's obvious), but whenever someone points it out the poster is still able to provide "proof" that it's not AI and they face no consequences.
and because they traced an AI image (likely generated themselves), it avoids the good ol' reverse image search trick and it's super annoying to deal with as someone who goes out of their way to find out if someone is tracing/stealing art
Haha! I don’t need to trace to make anatomically incorrect art!
🤣😂😅😭
@@Zenidsi want to trace a fish w six legs for funsiess 😔😔
Alright but I don’t think that’s that bad then??? Because they’re not stealing anyone’s art. Sure you could argue it’s cheap and lazy but unless they’re actually trying to profit off it I don’t see an issue. It could be very helpful for a beginner or for someone who really wants to make art but can’t dedicate to it for whatever reason
@@charliemayfilms1550 "Because they're not stealing anyone's art." do you even know how AI works? AI steals from already existing images to make a new one. tracing AI means you're stealing from numerous people's art. that's why AI is so devastating to artists, because it takes bits and pieces from a bunch of different artists' work. sure it can be helpful for a beginner to use as a tool to improve and learn, but I wasn't talking about that. my comment was talking about the people who claim traced AI art as their own art and try to gain a following from it.
Fr tho someone called me a tracer but they had no proof
Someone said that when I traced my own art
It’s not cool to immediately assume, but then people get mad when people ask for speed paints for proof but it’s like, you wouldn’t get mad if it was your art
Same!!it got so annoying I deleted all my videos,I blocked them but more came!!!

Practice makes perfect, if you get the hang of it you got it.
it probably is, but you won't be able to make good art until you've made a lot of bad art to learn from
Don’t believe them they’re just jealous that you can draw
We all gotta start somewhere and sometimes our starting point wasn’t our best and that’s ok. A good artist has made thousands of mistakes to get where they are rn. So keep your head up and keep drawing!
Am still glad there are dectectives like this
Atleast they reveal the tracers
the ”real art” is ai…lol.
The AI is just for demonstration, since if he takes someone else's art and put it in his video might be out of the question.
Yeah i know
yea
What if someone uses ai art but the image isnt uploaded online and traces it 😭
@@colddayys I've seen a bunch of AI tracers and they're VERY bad at hiding the fact that it's AI, if you're used to seeing AI generated pictures then you'll have no problem with spotting that it's AI, much less harder if the tracer isn't a professional
Tracers are very common in this community, like there are always silly drama just because of an art traced.
edit: I didn't say they "stole" I said it's normal for gacha community to have tracers around, yes they are beginners but they still drew it.
Well that's not the only drama at the art community we also have inappropriate drawings and death threat drawings
@@que_sya1362 yeah also that stuff too, threats are threats.
Remember the big tracing drama about Cutie Pun Pun 3-4 years ago 💀💀
She even made an apology back then
@@nocturn-chan3075 I never mentioned cutie pun pun or Heard about her, why you bring her here? I'm sayin' there are always tracers and dramas, it's just not surprising me anymore if my fave gachatuber got exposed cuz there's more then that.
@@nocturn-chan3075 also I'm pretty sure there are alot more tracers in this community than you think, like more then that, but half of the community is veryt talented.
Hint: you can always spot a tracer by finding painfully obvious wiggly lines and lazy coloring.
Take Lunar the Neko (sorry if you see this,) as an example.
She clearly traces Sashley. Sashley uses gradients, shading, sparkles, etc for coloring and smooth lines, while Lunar sometimes has wiggly outlines and no sort of effort for shading or detail.
There are also times that some people tried tracing to study an artstyle (like me when I was 10 or something) then when they get used to drawing they'll eventually no longer trace it, and add their personal details that was not in the drawing.
You're correct though, although it might be a coincidence sometimes
@@remy_ninna_serra yeah, but then they would post it on the internet claiming it's not traced
@@mofamofumomo yep but im kinda drunk btw when i explained the last part 😭 i meant that they do no longer trace once they learn the artstyle, they'll draw it without tracing, and then they'll make it their own artstyle since they have a specific detail to it 💀
Why is this so accurate 😭
That's rlly me💀 tbh I always do that sometimes not cuz TO LAZY
Ngl I become a detective at times when I see art but it only happened like 3 times and every single time I was right..and every single time everyone took the thieves side 😭

Im not very good doing art on mobile so i trace my real life drawings
And one time somebody called me tracer bc of this 😭
lol, if I did that the other way around and posted it I bet I'd be called a tracer, although I'm not great at art rlly at all, even though everyone I know says that I am so idk
tracing an art made on paper via digital ain't tracing anymore, it's considered sketching cus' even some great animators done that 😭
I trace my real life drawings too.But i dont post em cause im still kinda bad at it 😅
It's still your drawing. Imo tracing becomes unethical if it's other people's work that you pass off as your own without credit. Idm people that trace if they credit tbh, and since it's your work to begin with, you're not stealing anything. Do whatever you can to finish that drawing!!
If the original owner SAYS its okay to trace/copy their art, THEN you can trace it. Like people are hating for others tracing SOME animation memes, NOT ALL. But some of the original owners allows it sometimes. But if i was the one tracing it i would give credits anywayz!
Credit or not, just dont trace! tracing is alr for learning but dont upload it to claim it as your own

I actually post art on Pinterest but I’ve had people tell me I’ve traced my art but it’s traditional art, a lot of people use references too
I feel like whenever someone does good art ppl say u printed or someone traced that for u like bro😭🙏🏼
“That means it’s not traced”
Not me who has had my unposted art stolen and traced by a irl “friend” ToT
But people who trace are annoying, people work hard on their art and someone comes along, traces it,sometimes posts it’s and SOMETIMES gets MORE views then the real artist
I hate people that steal art because most actual artists get hate because most people think that they steal copy and traces there art even tho they put effort in it and it’s theirs.
Your the best wise fox keep up the work
Bro, this is actually pretty accurate. When I was a kid, I usually drew bases on an app that is now deleted on my cellphone. When I posted it in my social media, someone did this, and because of that one year later when I managed to realize I had my own style and all that, I was afraid of showing my art to others because of those type of comments.....now I've grown up enough to see that every person (that draws or not) with or without some braincells, can do this. Don't ever say someone is tracing nor copying without using Google Lens first. (Or another tool you know to know it's not their art). This can manage to make a child that is actually very happy and proud of their drawing to give up on their dream to become an artist. I almost did too. Also, look if there are signs that this person is a child or if it's a real grown up person that knows that tracing is bad but is doing it anyways. Just letting ppl know like the pinned comment this isn't any good. (Also, if you encounter a kid posting these kind of things, and imagine their age around 8 or 10 years old, you CAN actually tell them that they can copy to learn how to draw, but that they can also do their own artworks to manage finding a style. Or, if you don't want to do that, just leave a great comment or ignore the video/photo). That's all I have to say, goodbye, and have a nice and pretty day all of you~!
I love it smmmmm!!!!
The kid voice is on point ..
Difference between stealing, tracing/copying and using base.
stealing: taking the whole art/picture and uploading it claiming its theirs
tracing/copying: a person traces the whole art then makes small changes
using base: only traces over the body then makes whole new art
difference is real
that one hater in life :💀
I love your videos 😊 😊
Istg it’s like some people’s lives are so boring all they got to do is try hard to expose everyone, like go outside smell the fresh air idk do something 💀
People also use it for art study, it’s important to give credits for your reference so people don’t get confused. Also it’s kinda sad cuz there are so many tracers, people don’t think real artists actually have real art.
Bro😭😭they be going thought apps and ai art to find if someone traced 😭😭😭
Once I had to draw something for school and my friend traced it and started showing it off to her friends.
*gasp* I GOT HERE 12 MINUTES AFTER HE POSTED :0
Are you trying to brag?
I've traced before but never shared it online or with my friends- ik how it really feels. Took me straight to 5 years to learn on how to draw anime 😭 One thing that's giving me a hard time was the *hands*
I use pictures in google as reference, I never post it anywhere but I do send it to my friends but sometimes I forget to say the real artist AND THEY START ATTACKING ME LIKE I DONT TRACE I USE IT FOR REFERENCE
good thing that hasn’t happened to me yet, and as an artist just hate when this happens😭

Btw i saw your video and her name....
Plot twist: the first person made both pieces of art
unironically I'm glad we have people like this who will point out bull stolen/ai art
I saw someone accuse someone of tracing
The proof they gave was another video made by the same person💀💀💀💀
Someone on discord made art and I did the matching thing (I was totally not jealous of them) and it matched up like perfectly except 2 hairs that they made thicker but like it matched up perfectly I wanna say they stole it but like I’m not-
Edit: Tracing ai art is still theft. In fact Ai art can be considered worse than tracing. Case in point, the lawsuits. Please don't make a video about art theft when you are also stealing.
General reminder that posting videos like this without crediting the original artist is just as bad as tracing.
Showcasing traced art you made by tracing it yourself for an example also falls under theft as you are posting art that was traced, even if it's for an example.

I’m an art police but I only catch small art stealers (one was never stopping so I decided to educate her a lot and she ignores it. I made many videos and posts about her) I don’t accuse someone of art stealing (comment on it) until if I see if it’s really stolen or not, I don’t check every art I see, I check the ones that look suspiciously fake and different to what they usually draw.
They be doing a whole crime investigation like I don’t like art stealers but bro you don’t even know them it’s like you tryna cause problems💀
I mean tracing is actually good for new artists because it can actually help you improve your drawing skills because they improve your observation skills, after all if you can see better you're going to be able to draw better.
It can also stop improvement though if you keep tracing instead of trying to draw yourself
Bro thinks theyre FBI 💀
This so fr 😻
If you're an artist for 5-10 years, you can actually having power to differentiate which one is traced or not. One of the trick is checking the artist's account. If their artstyle constantly changes, it most likely they're tracing. Also most tracer drawn badly somehow so it's easy to find em out
I used to trace art when I was younger today I’m so ashamed of it 😭😭😭😭😭
When I started an account on an art app the first thing I did is tracing others drawings. Later on learned how to draw I stopped tracing 👌
Tracing is probably what every digital art beginner did
(I GUESS!)
I started with tracing first to do get a feeling for shapes and size than i went on to having a picture next to it and copy one on one the Art. It gives beginners a good training
OML I FINNALY CAN COMMENT HI WISE FOXX UR MY FAV CZcamsRS :)) pls reply
Some people dont know those specific images that actually exist
Some people are just talented.
ppl like that genuinely scare me😭
Lol this video is amazing
Dude some ppl is just accusing random persons thats their tracing but they have amazing talent
If lines match it doesn’t mean it’s traced. I recommend ignoring these people bc people do this to steal your art by asking for a speedpaint so if they get questioned, they’ll have an excuse.
Lines matching is a very reasonable way to find if something is traced. Also people don't steal speedpaints from artists accused of tracing. They take them from artists that just post the speed paint because they want to
and me-: *tracing arts but for myself and not post it anywhere*
Wow good video
To pinky kit and other tracers:Please Stop Tracing,Its ok if its a practice just try good on art Your art won’t matter.
The fact that i need to trace and look at references at all times because i have anphantasia makes this so funny but i of course don’t claim that it’s completely mine when i do so lol
Great video
It’s okay to see if art is traced/stolen but no one should assume
Stop no I feel attacked 😞
I mean sometimes I just get curious and search in reverse image search I'M SORRY 😭😭😭
It doesn’t mean that if someone draws a thing and it looks traced if it is traced correct them by saying it’s not rlly good to steal art.And if they didn’t steal and it looks traced that doesn’t mean you call them a art stealer.
Actually tracing is a way of learning the right way to do sketches like come on dude no one is going to go like that forever (unless they are lazy af) once you start doing lil traced sketches then later start to do your own sketches it will be way better
that’s why I started putting watermarks on my art
I mean you can't blame them, they are so many fake tracer artists nowadays, to know whether or not they are tracing, besides looking at whether or not they match, try dropping their digital art into Google to see if there are any results of the possibly original artist 😔🎨
I encountered one time an artist was accused of tracing / stealing because of her eye art being similar to the ones found in Pinterest. But the actual situation was actually the eye arts was a challenge. Like dayum did they even read the pin title wtf 😭
Also I've found someone accusing an artist to be using AI, but when I've searched up the artist's socials, they even made tutorials. Dayum, it's hard to be a good artist now 💀
IKR im so affraid that ppl will steal my content
Once someone stole my art and said i stole it. They were popular so people believed them. Art detectives should do better.
The fact that someone actually traced the first one makes it even more funnier😂😂😂

I’m someone who calls out tracers when I have definite proof of their tracing. For the people who think it isn’t an issue, it is. Even if there are a lot of people who use the internet, it isn’t right to take an artist’s drawing, trace it and then post it without any prior conversation with that artist to ask for consent. I believe tracing for practice is allowed, as long as you don’t post. Using someone’s art as a reference, either for design or for pose/view point is okay too, as long as you give credits and are sure the artist is okay with it. Even if you post your traced art and give credits to the original artist, you’re disregarding how they feel and you may be overstepping a boundary.
It’s important to try and get in contact with the original creator if you want to post it. If you can, ask them if you can post your traced version of their art with credits. If they say yes, go ahead!! (Be sure to write it in both the video itself or the caption/description. Give a head’s up to the audience in the video to check the description because it’s very easily missed at times). If they’re uncomfortable with you posting your traced version of their art, or uncomfortable you’re tracing their art in the first place, don’t post it and don’t trace their art. If you are unable to get into contact with the artist, do not post the art even if you gave credits, you’re making them uncomfortable. Artists will have a reminder whether or not they allow people to trace their art.
The best thing is to use bases or use references. Be sure to give credits for what art you used as a reference and what base you used. Hope this helps any confusion!! If you have any questions, just ask !!
OMG EARLYY ANYWAY AMAZING VIDEO! :D
