Also forgot to add into my last comment that the diesels also consume oil because of the new emissions on them required that they consume oil so usually with my Duramax I had to put in about a quart of oil between my 50% oil life so overall two quarts of oil between oil changes in a brand new motor when I first bought it with 32 miles

I had a 2016....but to be honest I traded it on on a 2017 3500 DRW LTZ with the 6.0 vortec with 12000 miles and honestly I had alot of problems with the fuel system and def system at 90,000 on the dmax...I am a general contractor tow alot of weight day in and day out and after going to the simpler gas engine with out the added emissions BS I am wat happier with the gasser and the mpgs on the gasser are actually better the the dmax because it did alot of regen and when it does it will be getting about 10 mpgs unloaded

you should have deleted your truck. And there's no way a gasser gets better fuel economy than the diesel. No chance.

@@kernmw10 actually yes it does because stock emissions rob diesel of there fuel economy....and I cannot delete because DOT laws do not allow me to because my trucks are fleet vehicles....but yes diesel mpg is 10 mpg in regen out of revenue maybe 13.5 around town and best interstate was 17mpg....6.0 vortex gasser was no regen so mpg around town was 13.5 mpg and open highway was about 20 mpg....and towing did not affect either in mpg

@@damionjones8944 a stock emissions diesel still gets better fuel economy than a gasser. A deleted diesel most definitely gets the best. What you're saying simply isn't true. A diesel gets better fuel economy loaded and unloaded. There's no comparison. I own both. Plenty of guys with deleted trucks that are hot shotting and working their trucks and DOT has never been a problem.

@@kernmw10 they are a problem for me I run a construction company and Florida has gotten strict 2 of fellow GC like myself faced 2 charges at 10,000 a piece from FHP DOT....and I showed you the mpg of both my trucks that I had and they are hand calculated facts period....I have owned diesels since the Chevy 6.2 non turbo and honestly I would never own a new one again alot of mechanical problems...a fellow GC friend of mine runs nothing but 6.0 vortecs to pull his dump trailers loaded down day in and day out and he gets 400,000 miles out of the motors
