    Tks for the video.. I started the install today, tomorrow I drill out the roof, but your video helped greatly. I did have a slight problem was missing a couple of nuts with mine, had to go to HD to get a few, that was sort of annoying, specially with all the little cards in every hardware package how it was packed and checked by "so-so". So glad you made this video. tks a lot..

    Thanks for this video. Knowing that this rack needs holes to be drilled in my roof I'm glad I haven't ordered it.

      It was scary but has not caused an issue. I keep the Jeep outside full time and Utah has rough weather in the winter. No leaks or issues and the rack is awesome.

    It's a good rack with lots of mounting accessories - I just wish it was not so high off the roof. I get why, access and being able to remove the freedom panels easily - but it just looks a bit clunky being so high off the roof. That said, it's till, so far, my top choice for my new JLU which arrives from the dealer in 5 weeks. Still looking at alternatives, however. I like the Rhino-Rack backbone system also.

      How high does it sit from the top of roof? Thinking of ordering but space is limited in my underground

    Awesome video! I'm considering this exo along with the Gobi. After a couple of years, are you satisfied? Any damage on hardtop due to shifting and or leaks from the 16 holes? Thanks!

      I have not seen any damage. No leaks. It was out this weekend in the rain and no issues. The Jeep stays outside full time (including the winter in Utah).

    Thanks for the video. It helps a lot. I like how all of the weight rests on the roll bar and not the top. Does this rack permit the easy removal of the freedom panels?

      From looking it I think it would be easy. But I have not removed them. I keep a roof top tent on there full time which would cover the freedom panels anyways.

      I have this one. You have to take off the wind deflector to remove the freedom panels and make sure the cross braces are slid to the center.

    Do you still have this? Any signs of rust on screws or powder coat wearing off?

      Yes I still have it. It has been stored outside in Utah since I installed it. I have seen no issues yet. I’ll take a closer look at the hardware though.

      @@michaelthornton7296 Thanks for the update! Seems like one of the better ones on the market still.

      @utoverland1012  Před 4 lety +1

      No leaks it’s been great. You can see it in use on my website utoverland.com or utoverland on Instagram/Facebook. Sat outside all winter and still no leaks.

    I hate this rack. I hate that I ordered it. Such a pain and no one wants to install it. Now I have to do it myself because front runners return and shelving cost is just as much as keeping the rack.

      Its a bit of work to install but is an awesome rack. Hopefully the video helps with the install process.
