I was a small guy living in Huntington Beach, California in the latter-half of the '70s. Mom, Dad, and I went to a Korean restaurant near where we lived. There was a hibachi on a table where we sat. Dad cooked the teriyaki beef on the hibachi.

We were in Waikiki a few weeks ago for vacation and stopped in the Foodland but really wanted to try out those spots. Wish we had seen this video before hand.
I grew up in Kaimuki so Market City was right in my neighborhood. Gina's was always a go-to, but I'm delighted to discover the 2 new places you featured! Love salted egg salmon skin chips, so bet I would like those chicken wings! Thanks for always bringing us new local hidden gems -- will have to check them out. 👍

Oh I wanted to go to market city like first step! My daughter and I went to so many of your other suggestions and all were incredible! Marugame Udon was the hit!! The price, amount, ( the line😅) trust me do the magic take out window! Ready in 5 minutes!! Market City is definitely up when we fly back over next week!! Loved every review .. Aloha guys 💞

What the heck! That dish at Kamitoku looked epic. Can't beat Gina's. Gotta check it out since my favorite Korean place closed. Thanks for the pro tip about getting an extra banchan in place of rice. Never been to Yi Xin Cafe...will have to check them out too. Everything looked so good today. BTW, LOL when Felix was so sad after Amanda licked his drink's bear..Gotta share !

Wish they had Meat Jun here in southern California especially in Gardena. We have alot of Korean restaurants, besides japaneses, chinese, thai, vietnamese, mexican, italian, mediterranean and hawaiian.

When I was at Kaimuki HS, there was only Sekiya's and Bea's in walking distance. Unless you want to count Wiki Wiki Burger. Though I would drive down to Rainbow to eat lunch.
I can't believe how many restaurants are in Market City. I do like the food at Duck Lee's, too.

Malay/Singaporean food in Hawaii? I love that food! In fact I'm in Malaysia right now. I come almost every year to Singapore or Malaysia. You guys need to visit for some of the best food ever. I will have to go there next time I'm back in Hawaii. Ala Moana food vourt has Singmatei.

I have never been to Hawaii so I have lots of questions. Is most of the food Asian based? I do not know how to use chopsticks. Plus if I have to I might as well make a trip to the Asian countries. I have been watching your videos but have been a bit disappointed.
Yes, but they have they have alot of other nationalities represented. Lots of steak places. Don't worry about not knowing how to use chopsticks. Grew up using them, but prefer to use a fork even when eating chinese. Why are you disappointed?
